I am getting into the habit of trying to do one wedding prep workout a week. Could probably also be considered a #brosesh 😂 kept the rest periods super short, because hypertrophy-style training is boring and it helps make it feel more interesting. 30s or less, if my muscles could manage it.

Chest and Back Day Part Two...I have incorporated GVT(German Volume Training) into the mix. What you do is find a weight that you can hit 20 reps per set, then you lift 10 sets of 10 reps with that weight. But what I did was increase the weight by 20, 15, and 10 lbs. This was my last set and my pecs are pumped! So, with all of my compound lifts on the second half of my workout week, I will be using this method for a few months and see where it goes. I tested GVT with Squats yesterday...my damn legs are still feeling it! Once again, I am constantly learning and evolving.

I love my 80 day workouts but at an hour long most days I'm struggling to find an hour. So I decided to jump on the early access wagon to the new LIIFT4. I'm starting with the 20 minute workouts and then the normal workout are 30 to 45 minutes long or so. H and only four days out of the week! I'm going to do these in the morning where I find my day falls apart. At least I can get these in hopefully then if I find I have time later in the day I'll do one of my beloved 80 day obsession workouts. It's very frustrating when things don't go as planned but I love how I have so many options with my beachbody on demand. At least I can get something done during the day! I’ve avoided the gym and lifting since I irritated my wrist golfing Sunday. But luckily two days in a wrist splint with minimum weight bearing did the trick! I was expecting my wrist to be slightly sore today after bench press and multiple variations of rows, however I’m beyond glad it’s not bothering me at all. •
Now onto work where I’ll get to play around DC during the summer social I planned for my office! Glad I got my lifting done early so I can focus in on my event and enjoy the added LISS to my day ☀️

I don’t have a gym membership and I only have two 52.5 lbs. adjustable dumbbells, two 12lb DBs, two 10lb DBs, one 25lb DB, and a bench. As you can see. I don’t use insanely heavy weights. I use what I have right now and just go for reps. I’m a perfectionist, I’m a planning addict and I want everything to go exactly according to plan. But that makes me overthink stuff as well and perhaps lose grip sometimes just because I want too much control, if that makes sense? So when making my schedule for this week and sharing it with my thoughts about it, Stephanie’s remark for not overthinking it was spot on! So I just decided to go in the gym today and see how far I came. I finished my lower body workout within an hour and felt like I could start with the upperbody workout and see how far I’d come. I looked at the exercises overview trying to decide which exercises I would cut and you know what? I didn’t want to cut any because I like them all so much 😁 So I stopped thinking, just did it and I finished my entire chest & back day! I have deserved that extra rest day tomorrow and I will feel POWERFUL AF all throughout that rest day 💪🏻

The second shot is me doing "negative" pullups to help build my strength to eventually be able to do more regular pullups. This was towards the end so I struggled to even do it

I didn't do it all perfect and  had to modify at times but that didn't bother me one bit. I did the best I could and that's all that matters. 💪🏻
