Cheonggyecheon stream was a drain during the Joseon Dynasty, and in modern times, underwent a huge refurbishment to what it is today.
It was heavily criticised due to the hefty refurbishment cost, but seems like no one is complaining now.
The 11km stream is a refreshing twist to the otherwise bustling city, beautiful, serene, and a popular hangout spot for locals and tourists.
What was amazing was that as soon as a descended those stairs from the main street to the sides of the stream, the drop of temperature was immediate and obvious.
