Domaine Philippe Charlopin-Parizot: Chambolle-Musigny 2010
(Chambolle-Musigny village, Burgundy, France.) Bright garnet color with raspberry, dark cherry, rose petal, black tea, little earthy.
Probably due to the great vintage, still feel fresh, fruit-driven, soft tannin is melted, and elegant that is very good for village classification wine.

2015 Louis Jadot CHAMBOLLE-MUSIGNY RELEASE PRICE: $80.00 91 POINTS, WILFRED WONG. (Tasted: August 14, 2018, San Francisco, CA USA) COMMENTARY: We, in the wine trade, say that Pinot Noir is the most seductive red wine of all. While Cabernet Sauvignon is robust and firm, and Syrah is dense and earthy, Pinot Noir shows a silkiness that cannot be found anywhere else. The 2015 Louis Jadot Chambolle-Musigny is delicate and refined but was slow to evolve as I tasted it. Perhaps, like many Pinot Noirs worldwide, this wine just needed a moment to gather itself. With aeration, this wine blossomed. TASTING NOTES: This wine is bright and pure. Its subtle aromas and flavors of tart strawberries and dried leather. It took a little bit of time, but suggestions of earth and chalk finally emerged. Its complex nuances should pair it famously with lightly-seasoned grilled lamb chops. (Best Served: 2018-2023) [SOURCING: France, Burgundy, Côte d'Or, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny] [TECHNICAL: 13% alcohol] [WINEMAKING HIGHLIGHTS: Fermentation: In vats for up to a month, and then the wine is aged 12 to 15 months in oak barrels] [WINERY SUGGESTED PAIRINGS: Pair with delicate dishes that are not too spicy, including red meat in sauces, game and medium-strong cheeses] Élevé et mis en bouteille par Louis Jadot, Beaune - France; Imported by Kobrand Corporation, Purchase, NY .
Strawberries and red fruit boozing out in your noose - coolness and just an amazing exquisite noose.. Red berries on the palate - silky and firm, pure elegance, what a treat - absolutely stunning. No Greens in the end, so pure and clean, fantastic 93-94 points for a village wine - just crazy. If you can find this in 2010 then no question.. dig in🍷#roumier#chambollemusigny#winelover#burgundy#wine

Grandes Jorasses 2010 by Belluard is an interesting Gringet, no doubt. Maybe it was in a 'in between' though. For my taste, it was too late & too soon to drink it as well.
2011 Chambolle by Frederic Mugnier tasted so well. I think the bottle kept alive for about 15mn ... we would sip a double-magnum if we could. Everything is good in it, some kinda Pinot's perfection. Must say I got a bit surprised here
What can we say about Meursault Gouttes d'Or 2001 d'Auvenay ... this wine is a tricky puzzle. First, it's very big. Like a huge wave
Aromatic looks like Anselme Selosse's Substance imo.
Plum fruit, rhubarb.
I still wonder if there's an higher expression of a Meursault than this very specific one :
It's Goutte d'or & it's 2001. This way, you get richness, a fantastic & most impressive shape, 2001 gives light, brightness. The d'Auvenay style brings you tension.
The way it's been raised made me think this 17 years old white is still in its early days, even if nothing seems hidden at all.
I wish I had the perfect meal, like sweetbread or turbot to fit with it. Maybe another time if I find it again in a 'reasonable' way ...
It also needs a great sauce to fight with the enormous power of this wine. It's too much, because it's too young.
Lunch last week with the @bourgogneboys sharing this magnificent magnum of Giraud’s MV10 and enjoying the contrasting due of Chambolle “les hauts-doix” Grouffier 1996 and Lucien Le Moine’s ‘08 Clos de La Roche 🍷
Albert Bichot Chambolle Musigny (2009)⠀
The small village of Chambolle-Musigny is located at the heart of the Côte de Nuits, between Vougeot and Morey-Saint-Denis. Its name is derived from that of an ancient Celtic village, “Cambola”. Pinot Noir is planted exclusively in this small appellation, which is one of the jewels of the Côte and part of Burgundy’s viticultural heritage. The vineyard is based at the mouth of a valley. The clay content of the soil is inferior to the other villages, which could partly explain the "femininity" frequently pointed out in Chambolle’s wines.⠀
Tasting: The nose is ethereal and delicate, suggestive of black cherry with discrete, elegant floral notes of rose and violet. Very soft on the palate, it offers well-balanced structure and bold, yet fine, smooth tannin. Lovely intense, fruity finish.⠀
ALBERT BICHOT: Red Winemaker of the Year 2017⠀
Already awarded Red Winemaker of the Year in 2004 and White Winemaker of the Year 2011, Albert Bichot is particularly proud and honoured to be given the title of Red Winemaker of the Year 2017 at the International Wine Challenge 2017.⠀
This new recognition rewards our teams’ daily efforts and the continuous attention paid to every detail from vine to finished wine and uncompromising choices in terms of quality.⠀
The International Wine Challenge is one of the most renowned and largest competitions in the world, with juries featuring many Masters of Wine and winemakers, and more than 14.000 wines tasted.⠀
There is 24 Premier Cru vineyards in Chambolle-Musigny, Les Amoureuses being widely regarded the fines one. Slightly different terroir than the northern part of the village with rocky topsoil over limestone. All this provide great drainage, forcing roots of vines to go deep into cracks ensuring low yield delivering small concentrated berries. Christoph Roumier makes one of the finest impression. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Nervous energy. Deep aroma of dust cover blackberry, wild strawberry in balsamic, burned wood, new leather, merh rose and wet rocky soil. Palate delivers big time, broad, energetic long with tannic grip and superb, border line, painful level of acidity. Sweet/ sour red berry fruit aftertaste macerated in balsamic and earth. Extremely exciting wine with exceptional capacity to mature over many decades. I will seek this wine out in the future.
Dit is Jean Luc Burguet. Inderdaad, de zoon van. Zijn levensmotto luidt; ‘We have to learn every day'.
Stunning Chambolle in a delicious drinking moment. The Domaine has 1.8 ha within Chambolle Village vineyards. I was skeptical about the vintage, but it’s all good! Great wine.
Jacques Selosse V.O. Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut. Degorgert oktober 2017.
#jacquesselossevo#cathiard#chambollemusigny#lesclosdelorme
I covered the wine bottle up to its capsule for the blind tasting last night because of the purple colour that is distinctively #domainefredericmagnien . We visited Domaine Frederic Magnien in March. This was part of the tasting and I was absolutely blown away by how unique is it. It has everything I like - packed with red fruits, lots of energy, acidity, light tannins and tea. The plot is above “Amoureuses” and next to Musigny. The soil composition of clay-limestone is the same as the northern part of Musigny. Les Borniques is just 1.4 ha. Happy to have shipped some back and shared a bottle with wonderful and appreciative wine friends. I’m just finishing the last half glass of the same bottle opened 10 hours ago at home! #chambollemusigny#bourgogne#blindtasting#wine#winesg#sgwine#zaltoglass
