Lighting is very important in a show of paintings. Nevertheless despite general standards of what an optimal light is, a good public can always learn to put up with the given light even when it seems poor as much as it has to with the protecting glass and its reflections. Imagine at wish other possibly better lightings for the painting, but forced by the actual one and its effect keep in mind that not always and necessarily a low lighting is bad. It can truly afford another viewing of an image and paradoxically enlighten otherwise hidden aspects of it.

Exhibitions are sometimes nice for an artist but they should not be confused with one's objective or a part of his natural work. Moreover, when exhibitions, good or bad, are today so often conspicuous failures of public and general attention that they can often be considered an unfortunated waste of artist's best resources. A painter should worry mainly about images and what can be achieved on the 'canvas'. The full job of exhibiting is and should always be the gallerist and curator professional job precisely because the artist cares about his, and only so becomes possible for them the chance of putting a good show.

A painting should work as a whole  but it may as well function in its fragments. How much can we divide a painting in parts and keep having paintings that work by itself may give a good measure of the universes contained in it. How much can a portion of a painting be part of a bigger image may give a good measure of the power of an imagination.
