SYD 🇦🇺 || MONKEYS CORNER (2/4)
OX TONGUE - The tongue is sliced thin just the way I like it so its not tough or chewy. A bit on the greasy side from the beef fat that its cooked in but its so good I keep craving for more! Its also seasoned really nicely with chives, lime and salt.
Repeat. Food yes. Beer yes. Atmosphere casual eats.
Tteok Bok Ki hot and sweet, rice cakes chewy with optional cheese on top an indulgence.
KFC (half chicken with bones) the star: crispy skin, juicy chicken with sauce that had slight heat 🌶. A little more heat preferred for me.
Complimentary coleslaw only fulfilled vegetable requirement, but pickles opened up appetite. All washed down with easy beers.
Atmosphere where friends are laughing and catching up over a casual beer and fried chicken.
Short stroll from Central station in the shiny and green Central Park.
Had so much fun at the pre-opening preview of @fourpointssydney last week! It was also my very first terrarium workshop (which represents the entire @centralparksyd precinct’s green & self-sustaining concept, fyi!) Then finally, we went on a grand tour to one of the Luxury Suites with sweeping view of Downtown Sydney. Gotta say, i’m super impressed and can’t wait to be one of the first ones to be back when the hotel’s open to public next week (I can already picture myself waking up in the Luxury Suite! 😆)
The food pics are sample dishes of what Executive Chef @adriano.avino has up his sleeves for @centralquarter. The Murshoom Risotto and honey beer poached Scallops with pork belly are definitely on my to order list the next time i’m back!
SYD 🇦🇺 || SALMON & ROCKET BAGEL (add on avocado)
Pumpkin bagel is sourced from Brooklyn Boy Bagels and pairs so well with everything. The roasted pumpkin seeds on top adds an additional crunch too!
