Civil War monument (there are both Confederate and Union memorials here, although the Confederate one is bigger, we are in Florida after all). I always feel so sad here, feelings of deep emotional trauma and passion. I hope they're resting in peace.
The wife (@katyedelrey) and I finally finished up the cemetery we’ve been using all our free time to build.
Total pain in the butt, but it was worth it in the end.
I didn’t choose the music.
Come to springville to get the pants scared off of you this Halloween.
At the last company happy hour, I cornered someone from HR and told him I knew he was a dark soul from the moment I saw him on Zoom (how disturbingly digital). It was a bold move which totally paid off as he proceeded to tell me about German death tourism, the two Bodyworlds exhibits he's seen, weird Chinese Buddhist custom of material cleansing at funerals, "scary" Norcal attractions that are not worth my time, underground Russian tea houses, and last but not least, this wonderful and expansive Oakland cemetery which I can't wait to revisit. Bonus is meeting the best Lyft driver in the world who gave me a wonderful tour of the Bay Area and took me to an excellent Mission taqueria. #traveltales
