Pot Roast in the Crock Pot. Coat roast both sides in Himalayan sea salt and pepper let thaw. Then brown your roast (1-2 min) on both sides in pan with butter or coconut oil. Carrots and whatever veggies you want go in to crockpot first. Salt and season (garlic, oregano, basil, onion powder) veggies, lay roast on top after browned. Use beef or chicken bone broth and season again. You want a good amount of seasoning because the veggies are going to soak it up! Cook on low 5-6 hours. Enjoy!

Ok. When I discovered my gluten intolerance 4+ years ago, the most personally depressing fact was that I couldn't have beer anymore. I searched for decent gluten free beer for YEARS, finding only watery tasting rice beers which shouldn't even be considered beer.
I eventually happened upon a great tasting "gluten reduced" beer 1-2 years ago, but not manufactured entirely gluten free so it often gave me stomach aches (worth it to me until more recently). So when I found an ENTIRELY GLUTEN FREE BREWERY just 25 minutes away from where we were staying in Colorado, I needed to go.
Now let me next say that my long term gluten avoidance has made it so that I think any imitation product tastes "just like the real thing." It's true with almost all gf baked goods and substitutes, even when they're apparently nothing close to the "real thing."
These beers.... guys..... are real tasting beers. Robert (an avid glutinous beer lover and drinker) can vouch for me. The simple joy of being able to walk into a legitimate vats-full-of-brewing-beers brewery, order almost a dozen different beers ON TAP, and Not worry about getting sick... is nothing less than amazing to me.
I grew up smelling my dad's home made beers in the garage so beer has always held a nostalgic, special place in my heart, one which I was very sad to have to let go of. So I just wanted to share this. It's important to me. Thanks for reading :)
Here is part 2 for my @lovewithfood #august#glutenfree box review.
@rxbar vanilla almond butter/peanut butter - this tastes like vanilla frosting with finely blended nuts added to it. Smooth and slighly grainy and the peanut butter flavor has the same texture as the vanilla with a heavy, rich and less sweet flavor than most your store bought peanut butter. I really enjoyed the vsnilla flavor
@gardenoflife chocolate sea salt - tastes like chocolate mixed slighly with rocky road with a protein powder aftertaste. Soft texture.
@treehuggergum pineapple/sour apple bubble gum filled pops - the pineapple tastes like you classic pineapple hard candy. These pops take longer to bite through to the gum center. The sour apple was my favorite flavor. It tastes like regular green apple and not sour.
@nutiva refined/virgin coconut oil - the refined is slighly thicker with less coconut flavor while the virgin has a sharper and lighter coconut flavor/texture.
@beechnutfoods vanilla quinoa crispies - good light crisp with a slight vanilla flavor with a blandish rice crispie taste
Hope you enjoyed the review! Thank you for reading and thank you to #lovewithfood and all the cool snack companies.
