Man, I'm so sorry I've neglected Instagram for like a week. I've been so busy. I cleaned out my garage Sunday and since then have been making flash cards and putting together a toddler learning binder for boo and then decided to finally finish my craft room and add a learning area for him to it. Then I rearranged the living room toy area today! So much work but having it completely organized helps with productivity...if I can keep it organized this time lol.
What have my lovely Instagram friends been up too lately?

What historical books do you love for toddlers??
First Monday in July! School is out and summer has a officially started. But... just because school is out for the summer doesn’t mean the learning stops. Our featured mom isn’t letting the heat stop the impact of education as it is something that is continuously implicated in both her life as well as her daughters’. Join me as we celebrate TYSHAUNNA as this week’s MommyHood featured 👑Mom of the Week👑 Tyshaunna is the caring mommy to her beautiful almost 2YO daughter, Trinity Ayanna. Shaunna is what I would like to call a steadfast momma; juggling a lot but maintains devotion to the ultimate task at hand and in this case, this task would be considered making the best out of herself. Shaunna is a full time mom, full time employee and full time student... with a full time load, Trinity’s learning curve doesn’t slip between the cracks with this momma. Take a look at the joy Trinity brings to Tyshaunna heart: “My proudest moment was when I first heard her sing her alphabet and it may not be much but for a 1 year old, to sing her alphabet, was a wonderful moment.” Simple things that makes your heart smile. From the alphabet to the honor society, keep encouraging your baby to soar high; continue to instill that education is a terrible thing to waste as well as making learning fun for the both of you.🎉
Nothing beats Sunday morning worship w your peeps and watching your best friend’s babies of 20+ years play for the first time w your babies. Priceless!! 💗 To think of the trouble we used to get into to now watching this miracle happen...words just can’t describe the feelings of love and gratitude. We held each other up thru the hurricanes and during the times we wanted to give up, but pushed each other to become the best in our craft. To see her as a mommy now, married with a loving husband, a sickkk LA Sheriff Deputy training new recruits..uggh, so so proud of you Monita!! @mrsaweber Who’s your loyal tribe? You don’t need a lot of friends, you just need a few that will love you unconditionally, tell you the truth when the truth hurts, be there for you no matter what and be your biggest cheerleader when you don’t believe in yourself. 💗💗 #FindYourTribe#CelebrateMoms#CelebrateLife#WomenSupportingWomen
We found some awesome brand new items at our Goodwill today!
5 new black out curtain panels for 1.99 each and a firetruck puzzle for 2.99 and best of all a personalized talking potty chair for 10.99!! Don't ask me how many potty chairs I've bought and haven't even began potty training yet... I'll tell ya, 3, but my house is big so I want them to be accessible whenever the time sparks!
My son is almost 2 so I think it's almost time to actually try. How old were your littles when they became potty trained?
I have children but this is still funny.... I don't even want to do something that feels good for 36hrs, me either unless it's sleeping lol, but what's sleep these days!
Even though I felt saddened by not truly experiencing labor for any of my 3 children, I am kind of grateful I wasn't in misery for 36hrs to get them here.
However, having c-sections meant I was in misery for approximately 2 weeks after their beautiful faces arrived.
How long were you in labor??
Frugal, fun activity for the day: painting the letter M for Malakai and for mommy.
Watching children grow is an amazing thing. We saw these chipboard letters in hobby lobby this past week and he pointed out the M. He's beginning to recognize that Malakai begins with M!
It's also a lovely beautiful day outside so we have spentthe majority of the day inn the trampoline and at the park!
How did you spend your Sunday?
Do you have a little one at home and love a good DIY project? Then this one's for you!
Check the link in bio to learn how I put together this Alphabet Board to introduce my toddler to learning the ABCs.
What awesome alphabet learning tools or tricks have you tried? Let me know in the comments!
I want to sincerely thank each of you that are following She's The Fun Mom. I appreciate each like, and I really, really appreciate each person who takes the time to leave a sweet comment. ❤️❤️❤️
A few weeks ago, someone sent me a message asking why I kept following and unfollowing her. I am SO glad she did, because I didn't even realize it was happening until then! For some unknown reason, my phone will show an account that I just followed as "Unfollowed", so I click follow again! It keeps happening! I apologize to anyone who I did this to! I want everyone to know that I am all about reciprocity. I want to support those who are supporting me. We are all in this journey of motherhood together, and it is wonderful, but it can also be tough and lonely and we should help each other and build each other up!👍🏻
So today I am raising a glass to celebrate 1500 followers, but I'm also celebrating each one of YOU. Yes, YOU, the mom who is staring at a mountain of laundry, who is already dreading having to figure out what to make for dinner tonight, who really just wants to have more Fun with the kids, but isn't sure how. You're doing a great job, momma!👏🏻
It that time again! My personal favorite time of the week; Monday! Not the typical back to work Monday but the Monday where we give what you may consider a everyday mom the acknowledgement she deserves for being the superhero to her children. And this momma plays the role of nurturer and entrepreneur🤑 let’s hear it for our MommyHood featured 👑Mom of the Week👑 MYLEKA! Myleka is the mommy to her two little ones, Carl (6YO) and Caelyn (1YO). Myleka is no stranger to the word priority and has mastered how to be her kids biggest supporter and still manage her own traveling smoothie venture. A lot for one momma of two to handle right? Wrong! Nothing is impossible to accomplish with the right amount of time dedicated to getting it done (whatever it may be) encouragement and love. While in the midst of becoming a successful entrepreneur, Carl struggled with his reading comprehension. Already stressed, Myleka was able to emphasis the importance of the devoted time spent on education with her son.. to say the least! And the ability to watch him excel is nothing short of satisfaction to a Mother’s heart. Let’s tune into Myleka’s thoughts on motherhood: ”[with consistency and encouragement] My son went from struggling with reading to exceeding his grade level reading within 2 months. For myself, taking a huge step and starting my business to secure my children’s future [is something I take much pride in!] of course it is Myleka! All mothers aren’t capable of teaching our children the ways of the world, them actually understanding it and then some! Pat yourself on the back for investing in Carl and Caelyn FIRST, then securing that bag and leaving a legacy behind! Way to go!
If you haven’t already checked her out, Myleka is the owner of @_mamasmoothie . I’ve tried this for myself and will not steer you wrong! Cool down this summer with one of mama smoothies sweet treat, money well spent! @_mamasmoothie @_mamasmoothie @_mamasmoothie @_mamasmoothie
Most people strive for 4 things - to feel heard, valued, appreciated and loved.
Our parents try to do all of the above to help us grow up to be decently good human beings. It’s a tough job, and moms and dads all over the world deserve recognition for making next generations of smart, driven, creative and good humans.
Special Father’s Day shoutout goes to all the single moms and dads, who do the job of two people. You guys are true heroes, working overtime and still managing to grow decent humans who feel heard, valued, appreciated and loved. You work hard and don’t ask for anything in return, while successfully raising kids, who will change the world one day. 💕
P.S. Thank you mom.
Happy Father's Day!!! Without all you men out there, we women wouldn't be our momma selves!!! Happy Father's Day to the man that gave me this little man. Thank you for giving me his life so I can have more purpose in mine. I loved you then, I love you still. Always have and always will.
Never stop dreaming, never stop planning those dreams and never stop believing in them.
Sometimes things don't happen, until they are meant to happen. Be patient and the time will come.
I'm getting closer to a dream that's been in the making for 6 or more years, slowly but surely they will unfold.
What have you been dreaming of lately?
This past week we put together and posted a blog about making busy boxes!📦 We found this cool little tool box I packed with drawing supplies to keep in the car and boy has it come in handy!🔧 I personalized it for an added touch with my silhouette, and we gifted one to his little friend.🐱 To find out more about our box, be sure to check the post...link to blog in profile⏫
Have you put together any busy boxes? What would you include?
Happy Monday! Decision making plays such a major role in our day to day lives; think about it, we all made the conscious decision to make our way to work this morning right? Sometimes the decisions we make can affect us in such a way that can just as beneficial to us as if it was in Gods plan for instances to play out the way they do. With all that being said, this MOTW is far from failing in her decision making process as she has trusted God to lead her down the right path for her... and her one year old son. Please join me congratulating our MommyHood featured 👑Mom of the Week👑 TYRA! Tyra is the proud mommy to her beloved son, Jackson AKA ‘Jax’. Unfortunately for Tyra, her relationship took a turn for the worst while she was pregnant with Jax. With making a decision to walk away from her marriage with all valid reasons, there was still a life weighing in the balance of these decisions, young Jackson. Let’s tune in to how Tyra felt about her and Jax moving forward: [my proudest moment was] “Deciding to leave an abusive marriage while pregnant to make sure that my child had a better life. There were many tests and trials that followed my decision but Gods grace and favor has covered and followed my son and I. Im proud of who I am as his mom.” we are proud that you followed your heart and Gods will to press forward in regards to giving Jax (and yourself) the lives you both deserve. Good for you!
My little dare devil. He kept going to the edge and attempting to lean over and climb down, scaring me and then giggling about it.😈 So I brought him down and showed him how to climb up the ladder. I had a hold of him but he did so well!👋 He really doesn't like my help with anything especially now that's he's about to be the big 2!!🎉 Little Mr Independent. I really enjoy the moments he puts his hand out for me to guide and hold and the moments when he helps me more than his little hands should.😍
Do you use sensory boxes with your toddlers? We have all kinds of these wonderful boxes I put together with inexpensive supplies
This week we've been learning about things under the sea! He's little so I basically just point out what the different #seacreatures are and we go through our amazing #usbornebooks and try to match them up! And of course point out and read the names :) We have so much fun with our boxes! What kind of #activities do you do with your one year old daily?
I'm totally loving 💕 Ms Meyer's cleaning products! Makes me actually want to clean so I can smell all the essential oil. They work great too! 🙌And are reasonably priced, even for a couponer like me... Even more exciting - I can stop clipping cleaning product coupons and shopping for those deals because with this I just pick out what I want each month and it arrives on my doorstep!

H E L L O J U N E 😎 With all things blossoming and blooming later than expected this spring, one thing we can ALWAYS rely on is the plan that God has for us is forever in our best interest. Our MOTW this week had their doubts about parenthood but God had written another route for this young lady’s journey. Join me in congratulating our MommyHood featured 👑Mom of the Week👑 NASTASSJA! Nastassja is the dedicated mommy to her 5 year old son, Jayden. Finding out you’re pregnant usually gives parents total anxiety, and for this momma, it was a hard decision to make debating on if parenting was in her calling. Little did Nastassja know that Jayden will help complete the blessings that God has in store for her. Take a look at what Nastassja had to say about becoming Jayden’s mother: “I never thought motherhood was in the cards for me. I did not think I wanted to be a mom. But God knew better and blessed me with this amazing little boy and life has been an amazing adventure ever since. He is literally the sweetest, smartest, funniest, most caring person that I know. I am just so honored that God thought enough of me to make me his mother.” God had this written for you Nastassja before you was born, and it was in His plans for you to be the nurturer to Jayden. God doesn’t make mistakes, YOU were MADE FOR THIS!🎉
#funfact about this MOTW featured child Jayden... Jayden’s 5️⃣th Birthday is TOMORROW! Let’s all wish him a very happy birthday from #teamMommyHood ! Wishing you many, many more! 🎂🤗
Yesterday we turned my dashboard into a chalkboard to entertain the antsy toddler while at a baseball double header! Wiped away perfectly with a baby wipe. #momwin Which also cleans the dust off the dash in a jiffy when you've had no time to clean 😉
What intuitive things have you come up with when nothing else was working???
I wanna give a shout out to all the moms! I'm single and WAHM but I'm guessing that things like this happen to every one. Especially if you aren't blessed with perfect unicorn children!
***I'm learning that no matter how hard I try I can't always be a #1 momma. Things like this happen to me everyday!
*** I had to move this bowl of paint earlier to get something else down. It was on the highest shelf in my house. However, I forgot to put it back, and left it on a stand my boy could reach.
*** Did I get upset? Nope. Did I beat myself up for making a mistake? I wanted to. Did I yell at my kid? Nope. ***I made the mistake of leaving it where he could get it, I started to tell myself that I was a bad mom but I'm not a bad mom.
💁 And that's okay, we have fun with times like these. He wanted to paint, so I let him paint.
💕Anyway mommas give yourself a pat on the back for doing an awesome hard butt kicking job at being a mom!
Happy Memorial Day! We thank all of our fallen soldiers as we remember them on this day.🇺🇸 there’s one particular soldier who is far from fallen, but deserves the recognition of MommyHoods’ MOTW not for just serving our country but for running a tight shift in her household as well; without further ado, please join me in saluting RENEE as this week’s featured 👑Mom of the Week👑 Renee is the mommy to 3 little troops of her own, Tristian (8 year old), Brielle (5 years old) & newest to the gang, baby Syrenity (8 weeks old). Renee’s hands are tied with being an active member of the armed forces, full time mommy and wife plus owner of her own mobile bakery (@kouturesweetz located in Columbus, GA), there is still enough hours in the day to dedicate to being a nurturer to the ones that matter most. Here’s what Renee had to say about her pride and joy: “I’d have to say my proudest moment for Tristian is how last year he had applied for the gifted program and didn’t get in, but reapplied himself and about applied again this year and was accepted in! Brielle has been leading her pre-k class as one of the top students of the class, she’s been placed in the independent (advanced) program section in her class since the second week class started. I’m just so proud of how resilient they’re especially at such a young age! Syrenity is growing above the average rate! Im just so proud to be their mom, my children really do complete me and are the best part of me!” There’s no other feeling compared to feeling satisfied in the accomplishments of your offspring! It’s just a justification of an affectionate and attentive mother, you’ve earned that! Salute!💁🏽♀️
Happy Haitian Mother’s Day to all my dope Haitians, and heeeeey to all my fellow Haitians who are dope AF because of the women who raised them! 🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹
Every year on Haitian Mother’s Day (because I don’t want to keep my non-Haitian moms away from their real life kids on American Mother’s Day), I have a Mother’s Day brunch to celebrate all the women who helped raise me or had a significant influence in my life, but this year I had to call it off. Between my crazy schedule, my real mom’s cancer, and my second and third moms who are also battling cancer, this year’s brunch wouldn’t have been as great as I’d have liked. BUT, the next brunch will be LIT! I’m claiming (in the name of Jesus) that none of my moms will be battling cancer when I do this next year. Swipe left for some pics from my previous Mother’s Day brunches. Menus have included: baked honey chipotle chicken w/ red velvet waffles, mini peach cobblers, carrot cake with carmelized ginger marscapone cream cheese, candied bacon- all from scratch (no boxed mixes up in here bih) ❥❥❥
A #latergram to not ruin the surprise for a family friend who is expecting her first baby! Her lovely mama commissioned me to make her first #MothersDay gift and card, and the inside message was so sweet — I had to share! Congratulations to you all for your blessing.
