Do you stretch? I have never been very flexible, but I’m working on it every day and I know I’m making progress. I stretch after every workout and I actually stretch a few minutes more than the included post workout stretch because I’ve learned that it keeps me loose and helps with next day soreness.
This is a stretch at the end of one workout I did for a while and it really bothered me that I COULD NOT get in this position! I’d try, but my body just wouldn’t bend this way. BUT-I refused to give up and kept trying it every day. Eventually, I got to a point where I could hold this position for 5 seconds, then 10 seconds, and now I’m up to 25 seconds!
Not all victories have to be about the scale. Getting stronger, getting more flexible, having a more positive mindset, sleeping better, clothes fitting better....celebrate all of that!

Excellence is a habit.”
Congratulations on qualifying a total of 3 holidays to date: Bangkok, Taipei and Sydney!!!
I appreciate your partnership in giving your best to your family, your clients and your colleagues.
I am looking forward to celebrating every achievement with you.
My first time ever making a 2 tiered cake. Funfetti with rainbow chip frosting. I love how it turned out. I love a new to me challenge.
Once you know the difference between fractions, teaspoons, tablespoons, cups and how to follow a recipe. You can make most anything.
I love baking and cooking. My best memories in life have been in the kitchen.
Plus being apart of bringing joy and happiness to anyone. Makes me happy and filled with joy. #celebrateeveryvictory#happiness#joy 🎂🎊🎉🎆💪😘
Have you ever found yourself feeling disappointed when you’ve lost "just" one pound? In reality, losing one pound of fat is amazing! For every pound you lose, you are alleviating four pounds of pressure from your knees and joints. I think that's pretty incredible!
AND, that "just one pound" can add up and become the 40 lbs I've lost in the past year!! Be true, be real, be JUST with every little accomplishment. Even the smallest accomplishment can lead to BIG things. Give yourself the credit you deserve.
I promise, you will get there - believe in yourself and enjoy the journey for what it is! 💖
To most of you, this is probably a very simple picture of two persons trying to complete their #hiit exercise as #finisher after #weighttraining . To me, this picture means something #special . I am mainly doing one on one #personaltraining session. That means one session should offically have two persons - #coachangus and one trainee. For many reasons, we have overlap between sessions. For example, tonight one trainee was late because she forgot the schedule and another trainee was being very considerate to have the training session together. As usual, they trained hard for #progress and did not #chitchat (which is definitely disallowed during training). What I would like to say as time goes by since beginning, this studio #thelab becomes a #community and this is a community with a sense of caring. Like what Jennifer Pahlka said, when one neighbour helps another, we #strengthen our community. Don't misunderstand me. I am not saying we are relaxing here. I am very sure everyone in #thelab train very hard and fight for #progress . What I am saying is when we strive for OWN progress, we should not just think of our own as we are human being. Why not just seize the moment and show #kindness#careness#encouragement to others and #celebrateeveryvictory every day #together ?
Pop the champagne, I finished writing book two in my Five Orders series! Soulless Son is done (well except all that editing work but pfffft).
Where Book 1, Prophecy took 7 months to write - with house remodel, wedding, & moving- Soulless Son took 2 months. It’s not perfect but I got plenty of sand in my sandbox to play with. Now onto using all those lovely beta edits I just got on Prophecy and plotting the third book for #nanowrimo .
Jk we are stopping to drink champagne and celebrating every little damn step of this process 🍾#celebrateeveryvictory#writeallthebooks#paranormalromance#writersofinstagram#writerlife
I had a 10 mile tempo run (goal race pace) on my marathon training plan today. I got behind schedule doing a few things around the house and by the time I was ready to go, I knew I was not going to be able to fit my whole run in before I had to be at my daughter's school to volunteer.
I could have used any one of these excuses (or more) to justify skipping my run today.
Except I didn't... because I'm doing this for a reason! I'm sticking to the plan and following my dreams, which some days means ignoring how I "feel" and just sucking it up and getting out there to do what I need to do even when I don't feel like it. I'm not about to give up on my big goal of getting that PR at my marathon in 2 weeks.
My run was 1.5 miles short and I was 5 minutes late to the school but I did my best and stuck with my Pace even when it felt hard! So that's definitely a victory!
Got this message from one of my small group members via our small group page and I am SO proud of her. ————
You guys. A lot of us view change and/or motivation to change as this miraculous thing that will one day just “click” and boom! Every decision is easy! And every moment you feel like making the right choice! And your motivation is “just there”. Well sorry to burst that bubble but that is NOT TRUE. Not even a little. Even those who appear to be fit and healthy and have no problem being that way still have moments where they lack motivation. Where the choices are hard to make. It isn’t “easier” for someone else, so please stop telling yourself that. ————-
This client was faced with a familiar scenario. And this time, she not only made the conscious decision to choose differently, she ACTED on that and made it happen. Today. She did that. Not me. Or anyone else! She owns this victory. ————-
The next battle/choice might be just as hard to make as this one was, but the good news is that she is capable. She just proved to herself that she CAN! She is building that self confidence and self trust 💜
I love that this choice led to healthier options for her, but I am more proud of what happened mentally for her!! VICTORY ✌🏼 Next step...clean the fridge 😂 #celebratethesmallthings#celebrateeveryvictory#victory#mentaltoughness#mentallystrong#selflove#selfrespect#nutrition#healthyfood#healthyeats#everystepmatters#jriven#jrivenfitness#jrivenstrong#jrivenlivin#jrivenasamother#jrivetime#getjriven#stayjriven#thatjrivenlife#proud
When I'm waiting for my prescription and it dawn's on me how hungry I am. Then to my delight @tacobell is right around the corner, walking distance. So excited my Uber ride home, will hopefully be my final ride. Cut transportation cost by hundreds. Last year I spent $6000 getting to work and home taking Uber and Lyft. I should buy stocks in both. Since the new place I'm moving to is close enough to both my job's to walk. Looking forward to being debt free and having better credit. Love that I can have a good dinner for $5. #idonthavetocook#dinnerscovered

Cause I’m celebrating every victory: I slept for 7 hours. Uninterrupted by worry. My dreams, which are usually vivid and hyper-realistic, were pleasant. I’ve got an appetite. Mrs. Meyer’s lavender is hitting the aromatherapy spot. I’m making a cup of decaf with almond milk creamer cause I can. Yesterday is finally, blessedly over.
And as for the rain? May it be cleansing. #itsnotallshit#cleanse#rain#celebrateeveryvictory
Yall, when you're on a journey toward a goal, don't forget to celebrate the small victories along the way!
Sure, you gotta keep your eye on the prize but too many of us(I'm guilty) get so caught up and overwhelmed by the destination that we forget to give ourselves a pat on the back for showing up everyday! We forget to savor progress on the way to victory! You know what I've learned?...a lot of small accomplishments lead to that big goal getting reached!! I've celebrated a couple of small victories this month and I'll be sharing them on my stories tomorrow! What small victories are you celebrating along the way?? #embracethejourney#starttofinish#alltheway#enjoyeachday#celebrateeveryvictory#share#encourage#taketime#slowdownandsavor#beproud
>>Tonight we will be celebrating this man!<<
As you may know, this amazing husband of mine works two jobs, his accounting job AND working hard to build up his real estate business! Well, yesterday was one heck of a day for him! TWO houses are officially SOLD as of last night, but it was actually FOUR deals because he had the privilege to be both the buying and selling agent for the families he had the opportunity to work with! •
It was A LOT of behind the scenes hard work, there were a lot of obstacles in the process with these ones, plus, juggling both jobs and being there for me and the boys. But, his determination to grow personally as well as for our family is one of the qualities I love most about him! •
Way to go babe! We are so proud of you! 🍾🥃
The early bird gets the shirt! Jeffie attended her 150th class of the year at 5:45am today! Way to get up and get it done!
Pssst....rumor has it the 5:45am class will be offered FOUR days a week soon! 🙌🏼⏰🐦💪🏼
WOOHOO!!! ⬇️ 10.3 pounds! There is some SERIOUS MAGIC that comes with a 10 pound weight loss (no matter what your starting weight is)...it fosters motivation BIG TIME!
Some benefits of losing 10 lbs:
~lower cholesterol ~decrease your blood pressure
~reduce your risk for cancer (especially breast cancer), diabetes, and dementia
~10 pounds off means 40 pounds of less pressure on your knees (HELLO...that’s a lot!)
~helps you sleep better (bye bye sleep 💤 apnea)
~improved energy (my energy feels through the roof!)
~can lengthen your life (we are talking about years here!)
~Will make you happier 😍
Well, yesterday went nothing like I thought. I had it all figured out. “Official day 1” on Monday gave me some ideas about how we could tweak our flow. I had it all written up so that I could visualize it. We had Bible over breakfast as planned, but our backyard excursion to let out the chickens turned into two hours of outdoor discovery, swinging, climbing and working on the walking sticks we’re crafting to sell at our local handicraft market in December. I never ceased to be amazed by the calm that comes over my kids when they are outside. Sure, we may need to change socks, shoes and sweaters until my sensory-challenged 6-year-old is comfortable, but once he’s settled, I love the way calm and energy, peace and alertness mingle inside his small frame. I have to celebrate these moments, because it’s not always easy to let go of how I envision the details. It feels like a dance. On one hand, I know my kids need simple, predictable rhythms and routines. On the other, they need wonder and the thrill of self-direction. It’s not one or the other. It’s both. I guess the only way I know to practice this is to do my best to keep my eyes wide open. To notice when their shoulders slump and they need a break. To allow their spark to become mine by accommodating their curiosities as the gifts they truly are. 🐌
When we finally wandered inside, I was amazed at how attentive and cheerful they were as we continued with our planned day. The broad “feast” I’d prepared was eaten. My 9-year-old has started to enjoy the independent work I was so slow to give her last year while my 6-year-old and I started a tradition of doing our reading lesson and “special” stories while we rock in the chair I used to nurse him in. 🐌
I’d feel remiss if I didn’t mention that there was also an extremely long meltdown later in the afternoon. It was messy and hard. And those moments are important too. The mini-second decisions to choose love and to be a safe place for someone having a hard time. It wouldn’t be fair to express those sacred moments for the world to see, but they matter just as much. Count them all. (The rest in comments ⬇️)
