@caymancocktailweek is never over until the last supper at @aguacayman . And this year, the Art of the Cocktail with @ronzacapaca pulled out all the stops and spared no details. Close collaboration between the Cocktail Week team and the Agua crew resulted in a detail oriented, dinner (the plates & cocktails were works of art) that wowed the guests, many of whom were mixologists from London and Miami and journalists from London and NYC. It was an opportunity where we showed the rest of the world what we can do here in Cayman, both on the cocktail and foodie scene. Special guests were the delightful Master Blender from Zacapa, @lorenamasterblender and Brand Ambassador for Zacapa, @quinrebe .
Artists that we paid homage to through food and cocktails were Andy Warhol, Salvador Dali, Vincent Van Gogh and Frida Kahlo. Thank you to everyone who came, ate and conquered the art of food and the art of the cocktail. @caymancocktailweek and Muddled Madness moved into @barololoungecayman on Tuesday night. We were honoured to have three international mixologists competing ( @bartailors from Mexico City, @fruit_n_the_flower from Miami and @redo dentpr from London) this year. Even more exciting was the fact that we had @lorenamasterblender , Master Blender of @ronzacapaca as one of the judges. @quinrebe , the Brand Ambassador of Zacapa Rum also judged along with @ambalamb6 & @freddy_gj , Cayman's 2018 @worldclass finalist who represented Cayman in Berlin over the summer. The mixologists were given surprise ingredients like canned sweet corn, protein powder, cracker jack corn, blue cool aid, matcha, pine nuts, beans in syrup, day old chocolate cake and several other nefarious ingredients with which they had to create a drinkable and great tasting cocktail with a cool name. Winner at the end of the night was @backroomcayman Davide Venturino. It was a very funny and fun night.
