If this isn't the purrfect little kitty-von-smoosh-face, I don't know what is. This is Katie, our little stray who sometimes lives on our front porch or in the storm drain. Arya worked and worked one week to coax her out into the open and finally got her to allow some cuddles and human interaction. #catwhisperer She's still very skiddish, but runs into the house the moment you open the front door. We already have two outdoor cats that do their job and keep to themselves, but this little girl has kind of stolen our hearts. It's the face, right? She's just the cutest. 😻
Just under 2 years in Denver, average ~1 visitor per month. 6 years in Dallas, ~2 visitors per year 😂 The mountains always win. My @jeremiahardy came for a couple of nights and an early morning class at @cyclebar_denver. Picked up right where we left off in Brooklyn 2 yrs ago 👫🥰 Our cat, Harvey, loved him 😻 #catwHisperer
This beautiful creature is timid, but slowly growing trustful of me. S/he is a stray. Breaks my heart.. it can't be but a year old, if even. My DH says no more(we have 4), but an outdoor one isn't off the table lol #catwhisperer#straycat#catsofinstagram
I’m the Mary Poppins of animals. Cat sitting a friend’s cat. Cats don’t share so I’ve been going back & forth to cat sit. Thankfully I live in the city. Before, everything from giant deer bucks with 10 feet wide antlers, abandoned iguanas, wild cats, birds, injured hawks, rabbits, squirrels, foxes, beavers, coyotes, snakes and coydogs would follow me home or make their way to my front door or front steps. #catwhisperer
MYTH: Cats can’t be trained ➡️➡️➡️ FACT: Cats in fact CAN be trained and they even love learning! 😺 Follow along with us and learn how to teach your cat fun tricks just like we do at CatBossTv! It’s easier than you might think!🐱 #BeACatBoss#domorewithyourcat#catbosstv
Two weeks of staying with my mom while my house is under renovations I’ve won overskyler aka the old bitty who would hiss, scratch, bite or run away if you went near her #catwhisperer#allyouneedislove#nevergiveup

Rule number 1 : Don't use it as punishment! I can't stress that enough. The kennel should never feel like a bad place.
Puppies and kitties are easy. You should be trying to train them as soon as you bring them home. There should be a fluffy bed, blankets, and a toy or two in it. Maybe even an old T-shirt with your scent on. Since most positive training is done with praise, treats, and toys, that's all you need to use whenever you put them in their kennel.
When working with older pets, it will take a little more work. You will need to get a kennel that you can take the top off. Use the same technique with a pet bed and an old t-shirt. Throw some treats in it. During feeding time, it is best to put their food dish in the kennel. It will take time before they will obey the command "go to your bed," but they need to learn it. When they finally do, you can put the top of the kennel on, but keep the door off. Continue applying the same techniques. Eventually, you will be able to put the door on.
You know how I know this works...? Because I had a client follow my exact instructions and by our next appointment (4 weeks) she said it only took her 2 weeks to get her kitty be comfortable in the kennel. 🐈❤️🐾
