The hubby & I carved jack o lanterns yesterday. Mine was inspired by @jparkerdesign & his by the Halloween film.
We went and saw the recent Halloween film as well. I legit cried tears of nostalgia before a kill... the average person would think, “What the hell is wrong with this girl?” That film means so much to me though & I was overwhelmed with thoughts of how Carpenter’s kids helped him with the music & how old Jamie Lee Curtis is getting. I didn’t want it to end. 🧡
🎥 #Casper es el fantasma de un niño neoyorquino que no está interesado en asustar a la gente, sino más bien en hacer amigos humanos conllevando así a vivir todo tipo de aventuras y desventuras de distintas índoles. 👻👀👀❗️

AGE RATING: PG 📽
This movie follows Casper, a kind young ghost who peacefully haunts a mansion in Maine. When specialist James Harvey arrives to communicate with Casper and his fellow spirits, he brings along his teenage daughter, Kat. Casper quickly falls for Kat, but their budding relationship is complicated not only by his transparent state, but also by his troublemaking apparition uncles and their mischievous antics.
This is an absolute childhood classic of mine! I watch it every year, without fail, and no matter how old I get, I enjoy it every time! The plotline is sweet, hilarious and heartwarming at times, while still delivering a pretty great solid story.
I still haven't upgraded this movie to blu-ray (impossible to buy in the UK!), so it does look a little dated on DVD, but I don't expect it to be immaculate considering it's over 20 years old.
The acting is also pretty great! Bill Pullman is incredibly entertaining as James Harvey while Cathy Moriarty portrays her role as Carrigan amazingly and is a slightly terrifying woman! Christina Rucci, however, steals the movie as Kat. She portrays the teen flawlessly, and her chemistry with Casper is as convincing as it can be!
A must watch!
Have you been enjoying all the super awesome 90’s fun this week at #dudethe90s ?
We’ve crafted like its 1999 all week and had so much fun seeing everyone’s 90’s throwbacks. Todays Friday theme is 90’s Halloween and in honor of the 1995 Casper movie I set out this fun and simple invitation to paint the worlds friendliest ghost.
I had pre drawn Casper onto white cotton for the kids and then they used my neon artist inks to drip color onto Casper - liquid watercolors would totally work too but I wanted the neon colors.
Swipe sideways 👉🏻to see the super cool banner we created once the inks were dry. We even hung it in the black light to see it’s glowy neon spookiness.
Special thanks for joining me this week on this 90’s adventure goes to:
