Treated my boyfriend and myself to a fancy weekend in Macau, also known as ‘The Las Vegas of Asia’. My first time gambling in a casino, and I used my beginners luck at the roulette table🍀! We also saw the show ‘House of Dancing Water’; amazing, highly recommended ✨😄 #funtrip
Grand Lisboa Casino Macao:
The Grand Lisboa Casino & Hotel is one impressive building. The entire buildinh is covered in LCD screens and makes an incredible show in the night, however its equally impressive in the day time.
The building itself is 281 meters tall and is the tallest casino in Macau. (You can see it from Taipa easily from Greek Mythology Casino). There are nearly 500 hotel rooms in this place. As for casino gaming, Grand Lisboa offers you some of the best: The casino is nearly 100,000 square feet. It has one of the largest table game layouts in Macau hosting over 230 tables! All in addition to over 1000 slot machines.
The Grand Lisboa was designed by teams of International architects and interior designers. The property is shaped like a giant lotus flower and opened in 2007 just before Chinese New Year. The new Grand Lisboa is connected by a footbridge with the original Casino Hotel Lisboa which Stanley Ho opened back in 1971.
The remainder of the complex, which includes a 47-storey tower, will open with 430 hotel rooms later this year. With a breathtaking light show from the world’s largest integrated LED screen installed on the Grand Lisboa’s exterior, Ho has clearly upped the ante on his competitors.
The Grand Lisboa revealed a new 9,365 square feet gaming area in Mrch 2016. It can be found on the mezzanine zone, the upper first floor of the property.
The Greco-Roman themed casino resort hotel. I can’t believe the original Caesars’ Palace was built at the same period when Circus Circus was built. Yet Caesars’ still looks fabulous but Circus Circus a reminder of distant past.
The Parisian Macao joins The Venetian Macao - the first integrated resort in Macao which opened in 2007, offering over 10 million square feet of usable space, Plaza Casino at Four Seasons - opened in 2008, and Sands Cotai Central, which opened in 2012. In total the company has invested over $10 billion on the Cotai Strip with the vast majority of money going into huge retail malls, MICE space, and thousands of hotel rooms among other things.
Each Sands property brings something new to the Cotai experience and The Parisian Macao is no exception. Shoppes at Parisian Macao retail space will span over 490,000 square feet and feature 150 boutiques and 20 sidewalk cafes. The diversity of dining and beverage options, with at least 15 restaurants, offers broad appeal to a wide variety of affluent guests from casual diners to those with the most sophisticated palates.
The Eiffel Tower replica is intricately constructed in true detail at 50% scale of the original Paris landmark. The Parisian theme runs throughout the property offering the tempting aromas and ambiance of sidewalk cafés, pâtisseries, and bistros. Over 130 boutiques offer wares arranged by districts in Paris. Up and coming labels join the world’s most well-known and celebrated fashion designers.
The Venetian Macao is the flagship casino resort on Macau’s bustling Cotai Strip. Modelled on its sister property in Las Vegas, the Venetian Macao is (as the name suggests) themed on the romantic streets and canals of Venice. Naturally some of the romance is lost through the 3000 plus slot machines constantly flashing at you, but the gondola rides and replica St Marks Square are almost as jaw dropping as the real thing.
The Venetian Macao is the biggest casino in the world. Fact. Forget those pretenders in Vegas and Atlantic City, the Venetian Macao has 550,000 square metres of dedicated gaming space. That means more than 800 gaming tables featuring everything from poker to fan-tan and 3,400 slot machines – known locally as hungry tigers. It’s said to be the 6th biggest building in the world.
The blockbuster attraction at the Venetian is its network of canals. Just like the canals at the original property in Las Vegas (or indeed in Venice itself), they are patrolled by gondalas manned by gondoliers warbling out tunes from the old country. The Venetian lays claim to authentic Italian gondoliers shipped in from Venice.
The painted sky that hangs over the Venetian Macao’s canals is truly breathtaking, so much so that many visitors are surprised that it’s not actually real. Yes, of course, you could just go outside and see the actual sky but in here you can enjoy the air conditioning.
