This white wine is produced exclusively from #Biancolella grapes, a typical variety from central Italy and the islands. Cultivation of the grape in the Lazio region is authorized exclusively on the island of Ponza where it grows at the base of a sheer sea cliff surmounted by the imposing lighthouse ‘il Faro della Guardia’. Suggested food pairing is “Linguine c’o Fellone” an emblematic pasta dish from Ponza made with rare Granseola crab, known locally as “o Fellone”.
Thanksgiving is a time for us to celebrate and be thankful for who we are and what we have.
Before you head over to your Nans for dinner, be sure to scoop up a bottle of our @casaledelgiglio Cesanese at your nearest BC Liquor Store. Violet, Marasca Cherry, and Pomegranate. This is well-structured juice with balanced acidity and tannins. You know you want some of this!
Sometimes oldies are goodies. One of my all time favorite wines, the #PetitVerdot from #CasaleDelGiglio . My last few bottles remaining in my stock unfortunately. But as this batch (2011) is already at the end of its life, I have been doing my best to finish them off these pasty three months. Ahhhh! All good things must come to and end. #Wine#Italy "Working from Nine to Wine"
