Finally got my hands on the @gardein burgers! For some reason, I never see these around even though my local grocery stores sell quite the variety of their products. I’m quite pleased with these, the texture and flavor are very meat like. Served them with a side of carrot fries that I just quickly fried in avocado oil and seasoned with salt, pepper and garlic powder. This was my first time trying to make these but, I’m quite pleased with the result. Definitely will make this meal again. 🥕🍔 What’d you guys make for dinner?
❄️ Today’s COLD temps called for a WARM lunch 🔥
Salmon, sautéed kale and collard greens, & carrot fries 🌱🐟🥕 I added some coconut aminos and cayenne hot sauce for an extra kick ✨#salmon#greens#carrotfries#simplywell
Holy cow, y’all! I made carrot oven fries! These are so BOMB! Recipe below. I’m currently coaxing the kiddo to try them, because she “had a lot of sugar today” her words, I don’t even know. She stayed home sick with her mama and she’s not a sugar person either. 🥕🍟🥕🍟
Recipe for enough for me and kiddo, double or triple if needed:
2 large carrots 🥕, cut in fry shapes
1tbs olive oil
Big pinch of salt
Pinch of garlic powder
Pinch of smoky paprika
Cut carrots, toss in oil and spices. Bake 450 for 30 minutes or until done to your preferred level of doneness. #paleorecipes .
🌟Day 319🌟Dinner- SP- stuffed peppers and carrot fries. Turkey mince (less than 1% fat from Aldi??) celery, onion and mushrooms made up the stuffing. I used a bit of everything from the herbs and spices dept tonight, a blob of tomato purée, chicken oxo cube and a splasheen of water to help sauce it up a bit. Threw into some halved peppers that have been lurking at the bottom of the fridge since last week and into the oven for 15ish mins. 1slice of RF cheddar per 3 pepper halves so the other half of my HexA for the day today. FOOD FACT FRIDAY 🥕🥕CARROTS🥕🥕
Here are some key points about carrots. .
Carrots were first grown in Asia, and they were not orange.
Carrots contain antioxidants, which may protect against cancer.
While they may not help you see in the dark, the vitamin A in carrots helps prevent vision loss.
Carrots contain vitamin C, an antioxidant. This helps boost the immune system and prevent disease. Vitamin C can help reduce the severity of a cold, and the length of time it lasts.
The antioxidant beta-carotene gives carrots their bright orange color. Beta-carotene is absorbed in the intestine and converted into vitamin A during digestion.
Farmer's markets and some specialty stores offer carrots in a range of colors, such as purple, yellow, and red.
These contain a variety of antioxidants that give them their color. For example, purple carrots contain anthocyanin, and red carrots are rich in lycopene.
Carrots are available all year round and can be used in so many things: soup, instead of French fries - carrot fries, smoothie, carrot noodles, in Mac & cheese, carrots & hummus.

lentil salad with beets & goat cheese: cook green onions in oil, add cooker lentils & chopped, cooked beets. cook together a few minutes. remove from heat & add goat cheese & dressing made from coriander, apple cider vinegar, & olive oil. i didn’t use exact measurements for this one, just kind of went with what looked right!
creamy chicken: cook chicken with olive oil & garlic, set aside. caramelize onions in a pan, add 1/2 tsp thyme, a pinch of red pepper flakes, & 2 tbsp of balsamic. cook for a few minutes. add 1/2 c chicken broth & 1/2 c heavy cream while whisking. simmer for a few minutes to let thicken, serve with the chicken.

& for dessert - homemade sticky date toffee pudding -
It's cold outside, brrrr so stay mindful and eat your warming foods! Roast over Raw. These babes are going in at 425° for 25 minutes! 🥕Definitely a winner y'all with a lil' soy free vegenaise, turmeric, dill dipping sauce to go with! #foodgoals#carrotfries#keepitreal#instagood#carrots
OKAYYYY. If you haven’t tried putting goat cheese on a burger, you’re missing out. 🤤 Make it: 5 oz ground beef on a potato roll with brown mustard, goat cheese, and fresh jalapeños marinated in honey + red wine vinegar; oven baked carrot fries with paprika. 🍔🥕🍟
There’s a burger under that egg! Haven’t posted many food pics because I eat the same thing 😂 I love carrot chips - they taste a bit like sweet potato. Real talk: I haven’t been 100% compliant, I’ve had a bit of chocolate and a massive Sunday roast BUT because I got straight back on track I’m 5lbs down!!! Motivates me to keep at it 💪
🐰🥕Carrots are one of the most widely enjoyed root vegetables in the world, partly because they grow relatively easily. They are very versatile in a number of dishes and cultural cuisines. The taproot of the carrot is the part of the vegetable most commonly eaten, although the greens are still beneficial in salads and other forms!
Carrots have a wealth of valuable nutrition and when you juice them, you can get a concentrated dose of their healing power. From balancing blood sugar, improving blood health, relieving congestion, fighting inflammation and cleansing the kidneys to protecting eyesight, brain function and fighting Leukemia, carrot juice benefits can help nearly every part of your body!
Carrots are also a valuable source of antioxidants, which helps to ward off damage from free radicals, slowing down cellular aging. For this reason, many skincare lines include carrots in their ingredients.

The #scallops dish were cooked to perfection as it is supposed to. It was full of flavors from salty from Ponzu, sour from pickled mushrooms, mildly spicy from chipotle sauce, and extra crispy from Bok choy Tempura. Can’t complain. 😋😋😋 Figs dish is the perfect combination of fresh, sweet, and crunchy fig, rich from citrus creme, and the best part? 12 years Aged balsamic. When you spread all the ingredients on to the toasted sour dough, you can close your eyes and enjoy the delicious bite.
#carrotfries 🥕🍟 look so simple but it's the best healthy fried food that you could imagine. Perfect crispy Tempura batter without the greasy oil. Perfectly crunchy carrot sticks. The perfect curry blue cheese aioli is so well put together, that even if you don't like goat cheese, you will never have tasted such a strong flavor of goat cheese before.
#cauliflower dish is a vegetarian dish that I rarely order. It's good with a complex texture again. Crunchy roasted cauliflower, crispy chickpea, and potato complimented with lemon yogurt. Sorry to use the same explanation, but that's what I really like about new American cuisine.
SUPER simple and tasty snack idea... brought to you completely by @traderjoes 🤗 I found these ‘julienned root vegetable’ fries (carrots, beets, parsnips, and sweet potatoes) in the freezer section and roasted then until they were crispy, then paired them with some @traderjoes ‘aioli garlic mustard sauce’ (which is highly addicting if ya like mustard 🙋🏼♀️) You guys just reallllly gotta try this combo!! || #hannahharvestinghealth
