TGIF and Happy Weekend Everyone! Lots of stuff happened today which I could report on: Oldest kid lost his 2nd tooth, saw the most amazing view on my morning snow run, got a great deal on lifting shoes (Who Am I?), and multiple mid-30 year old PRs in the weight room. It was just a solid day that makes me appreciate how amazing things are. Life is truly good.
Running Summary: I was able to get out and run on some snowy, icy, and wet trails today. If you want to get an idea of what the conditions looked like feel free to take a look at my story. I have a few clips of me running out there. As you can see from my pace, I was not able to run nearly as fast as I typically would. There were plenty of spots where I could have easily slipped, fallen, or even twisted an ankle. Lucky for me I was able to finish the run strong and without any negative incidents.
Lifting Summary: So lifting started off with me feeling pretty weak, but I was able to rally and knock out some great AMRAP sets. For Deadlift I knocked out 315lbs for 10 reps and for Bench Press I was able to knock out 233lbs for 6 which was one more rep than I was able to get on Wednesday. The rest of the workout consisted of block pulls and close grip bench press. I am one workout from being done with my first cycle so I am excited to be able to give a summary of how things went before I start back on Week 1 of Cycle 2.
Yifter the Shifter

My baby girl charlie 😍
I'm stoked in the photo for 2 reasons!
Reason 1; weigh in was done this week and another 1kg gone! This brings me to 4/5kg down this 8 week challenge so far! Which I'm stoked about!
Naomi brought round 3 of the plump your peach back bigger and better then the last 2 rounds 😍
Reason 2; I got to see my baby charlie! I tend to spoil her more then my sister other dog whiskey because when people see a small bear they die and give him all the attention! But she just has so much personality it's hard not to adore her!
Hi 👋🏼 I've decided to stop spamming my personal account with all of this and share my fitness journey with all the beautiful people of Instagram!
The first photo is me in July of 2017 at 110kg and my biggest.
The second photo is January 2018 it me at the start of a 8 week challenge at 102kg.
The third photo July and is me at 97kgs at the end of my second challenge!
Throughout this journey you'll see the good, the bad and the ugly! I will share my struggles and I'll also open up about the demons that cripple and how I overcome them.
I wanna share my journey with like minded people and keep myself accountable and hopefully inspire others to embark on their own journey! 🌞🍃
