Working out isnt pretty. If you're truly busting tour ass you should be a sweaty mess. I dont know why I bother wearing shirts when I start a workout ! It never ends well lol. Today is bitter sweet as I hit day 70. I feel amazing because never in my life have I done anything like this. But I am also a little sad because in 10 days I will be done with my first round of 80 day obsession. Thank you to the best coach in the world @sheri_boberry ! Thank you for helping me sign up to be an official bod member! You are seriously the best friend anyone could ever ask for.
On a side note the top picture is me doing step throughs for the ENTIRE workout. It took me until phase 3 to be able to do most of them. But this time I was able to do Every. Single. Flipping. One! What gets you pumped during your workouts? I find that I never settle for one genre, i like it all from EDM to gangster rap to metal. I basically cant do George Strait though, the king is reserved for the barn. 🤩

Thanks a lot plague of 2018 🙄😓😷 It was only a 30 min workout and I. Was. Dying. 😵💀 💦 It wasn’t pretty. I may have taken too many breaks. But I did it ! And sometimes that’s the biggest challenge.
It was super hard and I almost gave up after 15 mins. Nothing but LOVE for the routine, the habits, the consistency, and yes, especially the FUN this program is all about.
If you think you can't be consistent. If you think, there's no way!!! I've been there. I've thought ALL of those thoughts.
But, there is seriously something magical about this program that flipped a switch in my mentality. Because, it really is a mental game. This program has made me a winner in the mental game, which has led me to win at the physical game of fitness too. I'm in the best shape of my life at 43. (And all...I was a dancer from age 3 until age 23!!! I was active and thin...) But the me now, I am strong!!! I have a great cardio game going! And... I finally know how to eat to fuel my body!!!! That combo, MAGIC!!!! So, I make these posts for my own accountability, but also because I hope to inspire you to be better too. I want you to find the magic too!! And, I'm here to help. My anxiety has been sky high the last couple of days. So high that I even skipped my workout this morning. I am on day 58/80 of my SECOND round of 80DO... and I have never just skipped a workout. Not a smart move on my part. So after work, I put EVERYTHING else on hold that I normally do, drank my Energize, and pushed play. Day 58: Cardio Flow. 8 full rounds, no stopping. When it got hard or seemed like it was too much, I pushed harder. I burned more calories that I ever have during that workout and am so glad I did it. There are SO many things out of my control, but one thing that IS in my control is my fitness journey. So I took control and did something for me. The old me would have just come home, put on pjs, ate bad food, and gone to bed early. I may still put on my pjs and go to bed early... but after my workout 🙂. Thankful to this amazing program. It not only has helped changed my body, but more importantly it has changed how I view myself and why it’s important to take care of yourself. To get something you’ve never had you’re going to have to do things you’ve never done 💪🏻 Feeling like a rockstar after completing Day 58/80. This workout is such a mind game for me 🧠 I know I can do it, I just have to push through. Feeling good 🙌🏻

Can’t believe how fast the second round of this program is going. When you see 80 days it feels like it might last forever but the way I look at it is that I am going to workout everyday so why not commit to a 80 day program 🙌🏻😊 -
80 day obsession was the very first Beachbody program I did and I am happy to wrap up the year doing it too 🙌🏻
I hear it all the time from friends how hard it is to workout when you have kids. Making time, they wont nap when you want them to, and want your time and attention making you #momguilt hard when you want to get some time in to work on yourself.
I dont have kids...but I do have a boot stealing, sock thievery jumping toddler pup which make home workouts difficult at times... So today hank got his workout in too! (And now hes currently napping on the couch.. )
While I push up'ed, plyo jumped, did all the yoga moves too (all having animal names btw) I made him

5. And when his crazy self got "in the way" I jumped over him ...and when on the floor I was thanked by many puppy kisses.
His favorite moves are the DUCK walks and GORILLA!
Hey lady, Its not possible to do it all. But each day set your too three for that day and make it happen...regardless of the challenges. It might even turn into a double dog mom win...workout for me...nap for him while I move on to coffee and devotions. ❤

# Muscles involved :- Shadow Boxing is a full-body workout, most of your muscles are being worked. Your main focus is on your arms but you may be surprised at how many muscles are being used.
It works your abdominal muscles, shoulders, chest, back, calves, quadriceps etc. Punching power starts in the legs. Assuming you do a variety of punches, footwork, and dodging you are working your toes to your neck.
Since shadow boxing does not involve a punching bag or person, your abs and back muscles are used more. That is because you stop the force of the punch yourself and maintain your balance.
It can help you improve your strength, endurance and reflexes. However, as an exercise it lacks focus. So it is not a good replacement for weight-lifting or a cardio exercise like running but goes well with them.
As a cardio exercise, it probably will not get you breathing heavy or your heart beating fast. As an exercise to build muscle it is good for toning but not for building big muscles.
