0707 Sunrise from Mesa Arch.
Had to wake up a little earlier than I’d like, hike, and then chill out to catch this one. Worth it.
Also... there was a ridiculous amount of photographers there. I yelled good morning to every one of them as soon as the sun hit the horizon. A few were not happy. More laughed. Haha!
Taking the scenic route 🤯🚗 On a side note I am working on my new website along with some exciting workshops that will take place this winter/spring. These will be 2 day long extensive weekend workshops. Let me know in the comments on what southwest National Park I should be doing these in! 🗺 Thanks guys!
I was planning to shoot Mesa Arch this morning but found it was lined with people shoulder to shoulder. I walked further along the rim of the canyon and was able to snag a shot during the couple minutes that these sun rays were hitting the canyon floor. Venturing off the path and creating your own shot can often be more rewarding!
hiked up aztec butte one morning in island in the sky. such a beautiful hike up a slickrock dome leading to pueblos and granaries built by the anasazis. the views overlooking taylor canyon were outstanding. so much incredible history here. not all classrooms have four walls... get outside and explore! 👣🗺
Sometimes during long stretches of walking in midday heat with heavy bags, you just need to sit down, drink water, and enjoy the view you’ve been blessed with🌞 never overlook any aspect in life, no matter how hard it is because you can always see the silver lining

“The BBQ here is amazing! I’m originally from North Carolina, so I’ve grown up with amazing BBQ and fixings all my life, and 5 Star definitely holds it’s own. I’ve had the pulled pork and turkey, both are fantastic. The mashed potatoes, beans, and Mac n’ Cheese are also delicious. They have so many sauces to choose from (even mustard based!). I love this place and will definitely be back.” -Katie C. (Yelp Reviews)
How many of you are from the best BBQ states and still love our BBQ? We want to hear from you! ❤️
a little throw back to 2016! I started taking a 10-14 day road trip every year after freshman year of college. It was something different. I always drove places for soccer but these were unplanned destinations and I fell in love with national parks and national Forrest. The soccer field was all I knew but as I was on the road more each year I found that I liked travel more than I liked soccer. I was tired of giving up travel, weekends and my summers. I ended up quitting division 1 soccer after my third season. It was hard and I bounced back and forth with the decision all season. Although, It was the perfect amount of time and I do not regret quitting nor playing the 3 years that I did. I made a lot of friends and connections along the way, some of the best in my opinion. Looking at my old photos I’ve seen growth and I know I’ll continue to see growth as I use the camera more and more
The top 3 reasons to spend date night on Provo Center Street this month:
1. Fall is undoubtably one of the best (if not the best) Utah seasons. The temperature is dropping, the leaves are changing, and Center Street is looking especially quaint.
2. There are plenty of great food options. Whatever cuisine you’re interested in, there are more than enough places choose from. You can hit one spot for dinner, and try another spot for dessert just a block away.
3. It’s the gathering place of Provo. Enjoy the Provo historic District with the rest of the town by going dancing, attending a concert, or just taking a pleasant walk.
What are your favorite downtown Provo spots? Anywhere that is especially fun to visit during the fall season? ⬇️🍁
