A few years ago, when I was still living in Winnipeg, Human Machines caused me to breakdown and bawl in the car on the way home from my full-time job. I was miserable. Now I live near Toronto and I can barely afford to pay my bills every month, but I get to do what I love. I can feel myself healing. Broadside’s music really means something to me so it’s very special when I get to photograph them. | Vans Warped Tour 2018
In the summer of 2014, I was fortunate to be invited to join a pilgrimage organized by @christusministries . Twenty pilgrims and I traveled for 18 days following the Way of St. Ignatius, traveling through the north region of Spain via the Way of St James (Camino de Santiago), Barcelona, Manresa, and finally Rome.
Today, 14 additional travelers start their pilgrimage retracing the Way of St. Ignatius. And today, four years later, I find myself contemplating the awesome moments and moments of struggle along on the Way and since that memorable summer of 2014. Although the pilgrimage came to a formal end, it continues on a daily basis : PilgrimsLife - moving forward with faith 🙏🏼, hope 👍🏼, and Love 💛.
It is said that the Camino provides all that is needed. It is also said no one ends up on the Camino by accident. What ever the reason(s) one goes on pilgrimage, the Camino has a way of providing - often times in the most unexpected way. We just need to show up, be present (just be), and open to experiencing what the Camino provides.
Today, I wish (and pray) all those on pilgrimage, and in particular the 14 traveling with Christus Ministries, they experience a grace filled journey!
¡Buen Camion, Peregrinos!
