Today I stood on snow for the better part of the afternoon and photographed the sweetest families! Loved every second of the fun and it felt great to keep my creative energy simmering in these cold winter months. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I do love the light and the celebration of the winter season.... I do. But what is better than this? Hanging out near the shore with your feet in the water. The best! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What’s your favorite season and why? And if you say winter, I’ll need an in depth explanation! 🥶
Pssst! Real quick. Before I sign off for a bit again. This is such an important season to be with family and focus on your people - and if you’re a photographer - chances are you’re busy with deadlines right now too. We get it and were there too. SO! We decided to extend the early bird deadline for The Rad Workshop until Jan. 30!!! Not only that, but if you are one of the next five (now 4!) people to sign up, you will get a free one on one mentoring session or portfolio review from an instructor of your choice (valued at $650!!) 💃🏼. If you want in on this, go right to the website (link in profile) or if you want early access to these types of announcements, comment/DM your email address and we’ll send it right over!!! #theradworkshop#sunlightandstory#film#canon1v#fuji400h#ishootfujifilm#thefindlab#filmworkshop#learnfilm
Just posted photos from this glowy natural light session on the blog! 🧡As you’ll see, I could barely narrow it down-I had so many I wanted to share!
Their inner and outer beauty shine through! ✨I can not wait for their Camp Lucy wedding next year! Link in the profile->Blog
“And now the stillness came to him. He felt the presence of the country; it formed around him, under his feet; it seemed to press upward within him. It seemed to him a great beauty that he at once saw and felt and breathed.” - Wendell Berry, That Distant Land.
I felt when I took this photo of my husband that I was capturing a Wendell Berry quote. I didn’t know which one but I knew it was there. I opened our worn, well read copy of That Distant Land and flipped through the highlighted sentences until I found this quote. If I were to sum up my husband in a photo and a quote, and if I were to sum up a hope for a season, this would be it. I’m going to be quiet on here for awhile. If you need me, please feel free to email - I’ll be there. ❤️ #slowyourselfdown#wendellberry#mysingingpuertorican#film
