What happens when you forget to defrost a protein? #toomuchinmytinyhead 🤯#TUNAPATTIES FOR THE WIN because tuna is #canned and always in my pantry!
I also threw in a bunch of veggies to make them a little colorful 🎨and a drop healthier🍅🥕🥒🍋
The combination of the creamy tuna with the different tastes of the veggies and the seasoning made the patties so soft and velvety on the inside... I couldn’t stop eating them!! 🤩🤩
So Make them. Devour them. Remember them 💭 (and make them again😊)
4 cans of tuna
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 carrot, grated
1/2 zucchini, grated 2 scallions, finely chopped 1/2 tomato, finely chopped
1/2 lemon juiced
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp mustard 2 tsp garlic pepper salt (spice mix)
2 tbsp avocado oil
1- Prepare all ingredients and combine well in a mixing bowl. 2- Shape your patties and lay on a flat surface. 3- Heat a pan with a little bit of oil (I use grape-seed or canola) and fry your patties until they get a nice crisp, flip and repeat.
I served them with #zoodles because 😍😍😍.
I’m actually quite grossed out right now. When I was little, the #colombian folks in charge of me, like my mom and grandparents, fed me #canned#sardines with #whiterice and #ketchup and I would gobble it up with wild abandon. As I was cleaning out my pantry, I noticed several cans of sardines and a few cans of #smokedtrout . I put on a teeny pot of rice and set out to re-create this most satisfying childhood experience. Let me just say that my gag reflex is alive and well. With each bite, I had to recite... people are starving, people are starving and “pretend you are a cat” -Yuck.
