I LOVE to train and I love to train hard.
Before we started our journey around Australia, I was training 5-6 days a week plus a run or two and every couple of weeks a 8-10 hour day in the mountains.
I love testing my endurance and pushing my limits. Most of all, I loved the people around me during these times. Their encouragement, their smiles and their passion.
It was SO hard for me to leave this and set out on my own, knowing that my fitness would slowly dwindle away.
I am definitely not at my peak now but, I am happy with how I have been going. I have set myself goals which keeps me motivated and pushes me to train. First it was the Kokoda Track and now I will give my second goal a crack in just over a week. Eeekkk! Super nervous.
But, training on the road is not easy!!!! I am so grateful to have Benny to train with (even if it is once a week ha!) And @ufit_australia for giving me the workout inspiration!
So today we parted and said goodbye to our adventure bus 😢 the relationship started with alot of downs....to be fair it didnt start at all in the beginning 😂 then she had a new engine and a new lease of life 😎 after tinkering and fixing her up and making her look smart she was ready for the road with more guts then a slaughter house 😉🏎 ( no hill is too big for this one ).....this van has brought us so many happy memories and took us far and wide with so many beautiful places we've seen along the way 😁 its been a smashing 3 years since we met but unfortunately no longer meets our needs since the KTM'S came into our lives 🏍🤔 but onwards and upwards its not the end of our van adventures!!🤙 we're crossing the borders to the world of sprinters and starting a whole new chapter from the beginning 🤩 here's to hoping my brother Ben Mouncey and Tasha Priest have just as many amazing trips and memories as we have had 🤘👍#vwt4#campervan#t4camper#makingmemories#t4adventures ...... #vanlife#camperlife#mercedes#sprintervan#anotherchapter#familylife
(Un)fortunately this trip didn’t go as hoped. Initially Death Valley but too hot. Then Big Sur but it was too long a drive with fur balls in one day. Then Cambria only to learn it’s Pumpkin picking season and people love to camp and go pumpkin picking. Everything was booked or full, including primitive spots.
All the while, I’m outdoors, exploring, chasing sunsets and sunrises, following rolling hills, greeted by horses and cows...and then reminded - it’s about the #journey and not the destination.
What a gorgeous day in St.Louis! It’s a tad windy now so we are all tucked into the camper napping/working...may workout at the campground gym, and will likely order thin crust pizza and toasted ravioli from @imospizzastl later! This morning before the AWESOME zoo, we stopped by Pharoah’s Donuts because they were highly rated...for future reference, get the caramel bar and that’s it 😉 One of our followers brought us donuts from The Donut Drive In and they were pretty good too! After our meet up we had @pappyssmokehouse thanks to @samanthaelise25 ❤️ and topped it off with Clementine’s ice cream (LEGIT some of the best flavors ever...get the salted caramel crack and the gooey butter cake).
Thank you to everyone for coming out to meet us at the Arch today. Tomorrow we are on to KC with an NFL game in store for tomorrow night!
Why YES... I DID just sling Parmesan cheese all over my counter and RV stove!!! As if that thing weren’t hard enough to clean!! 😳🤪 thank you... I’ll be here all week!!!!😬
The campgrounds that put in the little bit extra effort really make us happy. Mini golf, nice trails and off leash dog parks are our favs 🤙🏼 what perks do you prefer when choosing campgrounds? #fulltimervers#fulltimerv
