SPOOKY SQUASH ~ This plentiful display provided by @wimpole_estate_nt got me right in the Autumnal mood the other week & it hasn’t stopped since. Pumpkin carving & autumn wreath making for me today. What about you? 🎃👻
It was lovely to meet so many couples today! I enjoyed getting to hear all of your ideas & can’t wait to make those floral dreams come true on your big day! **Don’t forget to enter the competition before the end of the day if you snapped a flower crown selfie! 😘
I absolutely loved dressing this beautiful bridge that leads from the house to the marquee at the stunning @chippenhampark last week. Such a treat to use all my own flowers and foliage for some wonderful autumnal abundance.
I did enjoy making this very last minute request for a bouquet and buttonhole last week. The bride and her mum came to the garden 2 days before the wedding and with her 1950s style dress in hand (turquoise blue with pink and soft orange flowers and a pale yellow sash ), we walked around the dahlia patch picking out the ones that worked. My love of colour went into overdrive as we yea’d and nay’d (?) each one. And I had to add in the lime green nicotiana when I spotted the vintage pink on the reverse of the petals. What really was the icing on the cake was when mum came to collect them she spotted the little acorn in the buttonhole (we hadn’t discussed putting this in) she gasped and told me her daughter had just told her that her and her fiancée were going to plant an oak tree in celebration of their marriage. These are the wonderful moments when creating flowers for the important times in peoples lives become more than just a job.
We always dress for the occasion! Floral wonderfulness...for the lovely Karen & Ed. What magnificent weather too! A supreme team effort to realise the stuff of dreams...from my mini team of floral sisters! 🌞🤗
Today’s wedding was wonderfully symmetrical-2 brides, 2 bridesmaids and 2 best men. The challenge, to to create 2 bouquets that represent 2 individuals but still don’t fight each other. So I used the same spring flowers but in different colour palettes. I love playing with all colours so this was a joy to do. Several different narcissi in both bouquets which had a glorious scent and also helped to tie the 2 together with the repeated creams. This was my 2nd very last minute booking (last weekend) for just bouquets and buttonholes in 3 weeks. I love working this way.
Thank you to everyone at @thyme_on_st.marys for letting me use they're beautiful shop on Monday and for the lovely flowers! Made my bakes look even better! 😋☺️💐 if anyone is looking for some stunning flowers for Mother's Day I'd highly recommend.
Showing off this gorgeous arrangement by @larkspur_floral_design who provided so many stunning wedding flowers for our cake table at Newmarket Wedding Show. In love with how perfect those anemone's look! Thank you Bridget!
Did you get engaged over the festive Season! Here's one of my earlier brides, Amy.....we gave her florals a supreme contemporary twist on the classic (if that's not a contradiction in terms..) Plus, her 'maids carried quirkily bespoke lettuce bouquets (with other flowers too..)...as her husband to be, managed a salad company! #tailormadedesign#bespokeflorals#nochallengetoogreat#quirkywedding Image: by @edgodden
A bit of a repeat but how could I resist sharing a few more of these pictures. These were taken at the end of a long day shooting more stylised pictures on the estate where I grow my flowers @branchespark. It was just a bit of fun really but sometimes those unplanned shots turn out great.
