Also, my dance instructor frand ordered 😆 me to do some additional workouts on top of my regular ones soooo there’s that!  I really have to build up my upper body strength because it would take me 0.03 seconds 😬 to fall from a ledge if I had to hang on 🧗🏻‍♀️for dear sweet life.

😅There’s a lot to be said about sugarated drinks and fat loss. Can you drink one glass of coke every day and still lose fat? Sure you can. Is it advisable? Nah, I’d rather have you use those calories for something else. For real food.

👉You see, liquid calories add up quickly. INSANELY QUICKLY. You want one glass of coke? 150 calories. But heck, who only drinks one glass of coke? Oh there are 500 calories.

I say, if fat loss is your goal you’d better give up EVERY single liquid calorie other than protein shakes/smoothies.

At the end of the day it’s always better to get in the habit of not drinking any liquid calories anymore, other than protein of course. I legitimately think cutting out ALL liquid calories should be a great aim, but if you're truly wine enthusiast.. Yes you can still have a glass. In moderation.

But seriously though, it’s a waste of precious daily calories and you know you’d rather spend those calories wisely and eat some real food.

Side leg lift exercise! This exercise a great calorie burner AND really helps your posture, flexibility, core strength and balance. It involves many group of muscles of your lower body: side hip flexors, thighs, glutes, hamstrings... as well as working your core and upper body which you use to stabilise yourself.
We’ve been doing it in the current course of #legsbumsandbubbas , 45 seconds on each leg, twice!!!
Instructions: Extend and lift your straight leg out to the side tap the floor with your foot.
Squeezing your glutes, lift your leg back to start position, then up and over to the other side in an arch motion (like a rainbow) & tap the floor. Continue this for 45 seconds , then swap legs !

When I started down my path of going from fat to fit progress came rather quickly, but then seemed to stall almost instantly.... it had me scratching my head and feeling like I was doing something wrong and needed to make huge changes to keep losing lbs.

Remember this guys, small progress adds up to big progress over time if you stay consistent.

Just because you may not be able to see fat loss occur from a day-to-day or even week-to-week basis, does not necessarily mean that you need to start making drastic changes.

In fact, trying to make drastic changes when it's not necessary can do more harm than good, as it can make it harder for you to sustain your diet and/or training.

There are obviously exceptions in which changes to your approach are necessary, but my point is that we should try to not be quick to judge.

If you are getting stronger in the gym and your average body weight is dropping on a weekly basis, you oftentimes just need to be more patient.

I then used a 5kg disk for some Russian twists and an exercise that I call "drive the car" where you get into a squat position with your back on the wall. Arms outright with the weight and steer left to right for as long as you can! It burns 💪🔥
