I think the dip is a great place to start because when you're chasing an exercise goal, you have to bump up the total volume of work in that exercise, as well as assessory exercises which usually have a similar movement pattern. ⠀
This can easily create imbalances throughout your body if you don't make certain adjustments in your training to complement how the stress from training is affecting it. ⠀
Just look at it like this; if you're going to be doing a lot of vertical pulling (category the pull up falls under), you need to be doing a similar amount of vertical pressing (category the dip falls under) so that one side doesn't get too strong, creating an imbalance.
That's a very crude way to explain it, but honestly if you were to just take that concept and apply it to your training it'll take you a long way..you're welcome for that😏😁
Notice the position of my body, that's called a hollowbody position. It's an extremely strong body position that creates a stable environment throughout the entire kinetic chain. There is much to gain from learning to press and pull from this position🔑
