To really experience the magic of meditation you need to create a life long habit. Unfortunately there is no meditation to help you create a habit of meditating. Only way is to push yourself in the beginning till your brain accepts meditation as a part of your being.

A pose that involves linking the hands (or sometimes a hand to a wrist) in an asana process that rotates both the shoulders and the torso, simultaneously, is called a bind. This link causes the body to be "bound" and held as a container, and therefore constricted in some ways by the arms or hands. Binds require flexibility both in the physical body -- in order to come into and maintain the pose -- and in the mind, in order to stay present and sustain the pose.
Binds also offer a different way to explore and experience alignment by forcing you to make adjustments to make the pose work for your body. Binds allow you to be curious, playful, and explorative! In our lifetimes we will experience all 8...sometimes several types at once...Because of the distinctions we can learn that in order to truly enjoy eros we must also search for greater depths through Philia and cultivate Ludus avoiding mania as our relationships mature. It is through these efforts we find pragma in our soulmate or twin flame. Through the POWER OF LOVE philautia and agape we can come to understand how amazing our human hearts really are. Our hearts are the only things in the universe that grow bigger the more we GIVE to others.

Friends!! We need your help! Did you know 1 in every 5 homeless persons in the US lives in either LA or NY? Bro bro and I decided we wanna give back this season...after talking with many of our displaced brothers and sisters, we found that socks and blankets are two things they need most...it gets cold out here! We are starting a fundraiser (link in bio) and will be personally passing out blankets & socks around LA for the holidays (all are welcome to help!!). The cost of each blanket is $8 and with the sock combo the suggested donation is $10. And with roughly 55,000 on the streets, they need your help too! That may seem like a big number, but every little bit counts, every dollar and every penny.

How did you change someones day or life? How did they change your by receiving? This Holiday TRY GIVING THE GIFT OF YOUR PRESENCE opposed to presents...give your attention, energy, focus and LOVE. Put your phone down and listen to your loved ones as they share their lives and dreams wth you. Stand to attention for your elders. Respect your parents and tell them how much you love them. Tell your children how special they are and how proud they make you every single second. Tell your friends how much you cherish them. GIVE THAT...GET SO MUCH MORE.

Meditation is not something which we have never done. Meditation is a natural state. We are just not use to doing it delibrately. Just focus on your surroundings for a while and try to observe everything around you. That state of presence is the highest form of meditation.

Today I woke up tired...I felt FULL mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Though my physical body felt tired my mind was aligned with happiness and gratitude. I felt grateful to have spent a weekend with a person I adore who fills my cup and makes me laugh. I felt lucky to feel the joy I felt even though my energy level was fading. Quality time is really all we “have” as humans and it’s what’s really important. The quality of my life reflects the time I spend and with whom I spend it. I’m pickier now and it serves me well. When I feel tired, I know it’s a good sign of fullness in my days, heart and life. December can get CRAY, make sure you make time for self care, yoga, and rest. like a flowing river, to see into the depths of ourselves, we must either be still, or dive within. we must move through the surface, which only appears to be opaque from our perception. motion reflects the light of the outside world onto the surface, where stillness clears the path for our inner being to glisten far and wide. -
in the last week i've been teaching, training, auditioning, interviewing, and everything else in between...needless to say i've been running around like crazy. this week I'm working to make space for myself, and i'm encouraging my students to do the same. -
life gets so busy during the holidays and this time of giving. put yourself at the top of that list. give yourself time. give yourself space to let go of whatever you're holding onto. give yourself some of the energy that you're putting it into the world. be still between moments of running around. use this stillness to interiorize and find out what you need. -
you have time. use it to focus on you. -

almost every day when i go to bed, i am already excited to wake up the next day and make coffee. the process is what i truly love, opening the coffee box, heating water, grinding the coffee, pour the water over and then enjoy every cup.

Meet our November Student of the Month, Fernando T.! “I am passionate about medicine/healthcare and education. Early in life, I realized that both medicine and education are essential to living a fulfilling life, yet both are seen, at times, as a privilege. Today, my career keeps me focused on contributing to an unmet need in science, medicine and healthcare as a researcher at UCSF. Personally, I have an amazing(!) 13-year-old daughter that has motivated me to regularly volunteer at her school, and to be a board member of the PTA.
