Hello Everyone 😊
A new feature this week is Galena. It is a wonderful stone for absorbing negative energy and converting it to positive useful energy. It can also enhance the power of other crystals as well ✨ Emotionally, Galena promotes kindness, peace, and tolerance. It also helps to find a fresh approach to love and romance. Physically, Galena aids in reducing inflammation, helps with the assimilation of zinc and selenium for hair, and also stimulates blood circulation helping the veins ✨
Day 23 of #BurntOctober - color! 🌈
My favorite way to add color to a burn is with watercolor (I use @prima_watercolor brand!) This one’s an oldie, but a goodie I think — timelapsed watercolor burn from start to finish. 🙂🔥
This piece was inspired by old arcade video games (but you knew that!) My favorite one, growing up, was the Jurassic Park game where you had to sit in the jolting little “car” and steer around the virtual dinosaurs. 🦖😁 I lived for that game!
BurntOctober hosted by @woodburncorner and @walnuthollow
This one traveled through many changes to land here. It use to have a giant palm tree in it and many more hills! My imaginary landscapes often have no particular place in mind so they morph constantly until I’m satisfied! I just LOVE creating them!! 🎨
#20 ”x 20” acrylic wrap around. Check out my bio for more info. #lovetopaint#fantasyscape#fontainegallery

~ MEET THE ARTISTS of Open Studios ~ Percy Fortini-Wright , Painter ~ Studio 1, Lower Level⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Merging representational painting and graffiti vernacular I interpret, depict, and decipher the world around and within me. Like an alchemist studying different relationships of proportion, what inspires me to constantly make art is my love for creating form and how light can reveal it.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Recent paintings string together work created from memory, or from direct observation of places, spaces and faces, sampling imagery, but not limiting how my images operate blurring the lines between practices and impressions of subjects.. The subjects vary from land and cityscapes, and portraits, still life’s, and objects. As a graffiti artist I bring that same energy into my pieces, showing a carefree innocence with bold daring marks not distinguishing between a scribble and fully realized object.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Using spray paint mixed with the physical nature of the calligraphic mark my pieces investigate relationships of linguistic entanglement as form. Many times the subjects are letters either tagged or written fast into the pieces elaborately camouflaged into a three dimensional “wildstyle” form of lettering. Through the ethereal qualities of spray paint juxtaposed with the physical nature of the calligraphic mark I deface my images with words and words with images expressing there limitations and intricate connections. Being multiracial my work explores numerous expressions and identities at times creating an explosive melting pot of images constantly searching for threads of unification, as a result my work embodies chaos and clarity balancing perceived opposites. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have you ever had beautiful models walk all over your artwork?? Me neither - and I couldn’t be more honored!! Our benefit fashion show @thevaultonking with the incredibly talented @jahdemade and @hampdenclothing was a HUGE success and I am still giddy as more photos and videos arise!
My hand-painted runway, in all its post-show glory, marked with a few happy tears, some heel marks 👠👣💃🏽, and maybe a wine stain or two, will be deconstructed, framed and FOR SALE to preserve the memories of all the FUN we had for such a wonderful cause!

Lot of artists getting together to open galleries on the northern beaches of Sydney. All of them doing it with no support from local council and often little support from local businesses. They are just relying on a bit of blood sweat and tears of generous volunteers and private funding of the artists together. People supporting local art keeps the wheels a rolling and the bills paid. We are stoked to give artists, photographers a discount same as we apply to non profit organisations like schools and religious organisations. It's a shame @beachescouncil are all talk and no action on this topic often purchasing the same products from suppliers outside their local community hindering the flow of money in the local area. We hear a lot of talk about strategic plans and a long term cultural 2023 plan but in reality they never deliver. If it wasn't for the local involvement there would be no culture here on the beaches. So lets go hanging with people who #buylocalart and #supportlocalbusinesses#gomanly#artrack#gallerywhite#fix8hangtight#framing#art#walls#galleryopening @manlyartcollab #supportlocalartists @locallivingmanly #gotheextramile#golocal#manlyliving#manlybeach#pittwaterroad
‘Black Men of Labor’, ca 2009 by Syndey Byrd (1944-2015)
Did you make it to the secondline yesterday? It was a beautiful day for dancing in the streets! This photo of Gregg Stafford captures the warm and vibrant feeling that surrounds this New Orleans tradition.
Syndey was a prolific photographer who documented the distinct cultural practices of New Orleans and South Louisiana from the 1970s - early 2010s. South Louisiana’s musical traditions and Carnival celebrations fueled Byrd’s work: from elite society balls and krewe parades to the Mardi Gras Indians and the ever-changing street theater of the Vieux Carré on Fat Tuesday. She saw it all. - @64parishes
