Found a moment to unwrap a delivery that I received from the fine folks @curiousduke - this beautiful piece on wood by @michelle_lkc that I found @monikerartfair a couple of weeks ago. Love how the change of light through the day affects the colour of the wood and the gold leaf. I seem to be drawn to round pieces for some reason... Golden Precipice by Michelle Loa Kum Cheung; Oil, pyrography and gold leaf on wood.
Right now I’m in a process of organizing, taking the unnecessary things and passing them along - simplicity is such a beautiful thing in this complicated world. It’s important for me to make time and space for the things that I love, like making art, connecting with nature, family and friends, exercise, and music. #fern#metalart#milabelleart#buyartfromlivingartists#simplicity#consciousliving
The words for @natashahowieart ❣️🧐
“Solitude and confinement disguised as independence,
Hard skin and tough shells promoted as power.
Yet, we wonder why we erge to peak over our fences,
And hope and dream for someone to send us flowers.
In fact, these aren’t signs of weakness,
They are signs of humanity.
But from inside our boxes of Bleakness,
We ignore our similarities to the point of insanity.”
Quoted from my poem “Boxes of Bleakness” which I wrote in May-ish time. .
This poem started from a small thought about our language, in particularly, the phrase “we all live in our own little boxes”. I said it to myself one day and it stopped me. I challenged this belittling perception of life and changed my ‘little box’ into a castle surrounded by fields of flowers free from fences. .
And then, completely unprompted as usual, came this whole poem which you can listen to at www.lizziereid.myportfolio.com/2018 .
🎼 If I were a rich man...(sing it with me!) I would buy one of @genekiegel’s pieces for nearly every room in my house, and then I’d buy a second house to decorate with more art! Like this multicolored beauty holding the globe by a thread by @ronitoanonoart, and a piece by @thomasjohncarlson. .

Anastasia Morskaya – Saint Petersburg, Russia
Anastasia Morskaya is a Russian painter from Saint-Petersburg. She works in the genre of realism and hyperrealism. Anastasia believes that the underwater world is unique, amazing and beautiful. This is fantastic magic, magic of color and form. We live on land, but each of us wants to merge into a sea wave. Also, the artist reflects on the beauty of our world and the depth of the inner world of human. Thoughts take the form of fantastic images of incredibly beautiful and mysterious girls, their cryptic souls.

Being an artist is like channeling - at least that’s my experience of it. My best work comes from a place unobstructed by mind chatter, by overthinking, by ego even ... it flows mysteriously from source through my hands, body and uses the mind to construct its form. I draw these symbols first - they are simple, they take time, but they come, and when they arrive I’m thankful. I think artwork is like its own little entity asking me to birth it into the world. In this way, I can experience what it is to be a mother, a creator. Grateful for all these blessingS. #metalart#milabelleart#artlife#channeling#originalart#buyartfromlivingartists#gratitude#artistasmother
