Party season! So yesterday I worked all day, when I say worked all day, I mean from the minute I woke up till the minute I collapsed into bed! Working for yourself is by no means easy, it’s exhausting! Yesterday I worked non stop trying to get orders out, deliveries unpacked, ordering new stock in, marketing, photographing, labelling things, speaking to customers & suppliers, you name it I was doing it.....then before you know it it’s 3pm....arghhh I’m screaming inside that I’ve got so much to do, but it’s time to be Mummy! All smiles for my little beauts, big hugs & a catch up on their day then straight off to a kids party, back home from the party, big hugs for the kids because Mummy is off to do a party, so by 5.30pm I was off on my way to do an evening party! I love doing parties, setting it up making it look pretty, advising people on what would suit them, what bag would look great with their coat, Christmas presents for people & the list goes on.....I got back at 10.30pm to my tea (yes I was starving & tired!) quickly caught up on my mail, and bed! I crawled into bed shattered! But I love it! I love working for myself, I love what I’m growing and most of all I love the fact I can take my kids to school every morning and I get to pick them up at 3pm! This is why I work for myself! And yes I may look knackered and yes I feel I want to cry sometimes from the pressure, but that’s life and I’m growing a business. It’s not easy juggling family with a business but I will keep on that treadmill working hard & just hope & pray that although Mummy couldn’t tuck them up in bed last night and read them a story that they will one day understand that I do this to spend as much time as possible with them! Maybe one day they will be inspired by seeing hardwork! I do hope so! Dad: So what will my duties be onsite at @wellsummit?
Me: Whatever is needed. Move boxes. Watch the dog. Help direct the crowd. But mostly watch my dog Max.
Dad: So you’re basically Kim Kardashian and I’m that guy Jonathan who follows her around? Does whatever she needs?
Me: I’m so glad you understand. 🤣
Beyond grateful for family and friends who travel, take time off of work, throw on volunteer t-shirts to do whatever it takes to bring to help me shine make #WELLSummit a success.
PPS. Wearing my lucky @nyandcompany x @gabunion dress. Do I wear this until we can get @gabunion to speak at the Summit?! ☺️🤣

Ever go through a door not having a clue what’s on the other side? .
Literally sure, but metaphorically speaking? I find myself going through doors now each day doing things I wouldn’t have imagined a year, 6 months or even a week ago. .
Today, I attended a women’s networking luncheon! .
Big deal, right?
Well, “Networking” was a word that just has always given me anxiety. Talking to people I didn’t know, creating small talk, speaking about myself, introductions. Ugh. Everything about that is unpleasant to me. .
I would NEVER in a million years have thought that I’d quit a corporate job and be participating in networking events on monthly or even a weekly basis. More than I did in Corporate America over 20 years!
I still get nervous honestly but it’s getting easier and I’m meeting SO MANY amazing people. I’ve made connections and found great opportunities that I would have missed if I didn’t get outside my comfort zone to walk through that door. .
I guess it’s never too late to tackle things that make you uncomfortable, it’s surprisingly been very satisfying!
Tell me, what do you find difficult to do but do anyway for the growth and opportunity it provides? .
Thanks @thesociallyconnected & @mommaofdos for being familiar faces and always so warm and welcoming. #youremypeople ❤️ .
I’ve linked these leggings in my #amazonstore#fitstyle
Aside from the final product, my favorite part about making this sweater was the challenge it posed me. Not only was I doing stranded color work, but I also had to balance the different colors I wanted in a pattern that was unfamiliar. When I finished, and it looked perfect, I knew I had grown in my talent. What are some aspects of your hobbies and interests that are challenging and rewarding? I think it's puzzles like this that add to joy in our life.
Say hello to this beautiful new logo I’ve designed for a start up business! 😊
Charlotte came up with a fab name for her business, Village Aromas selling handmade candles and reed diffusers so I wanted to create a logo which reflected this! ✏️
Charlotte wanted a luxurious, simple and clean looking logo so I played around with colour and the rose gold and light grey became the winner! ✨
And if you look closely you’ll see the subtle candles doubling up as doors within the houses in the logo 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
This was one of my favourite interviews, and books, of the year. Alex shows that really anything is possible when you apply drive, determination and time to a worthwhile mission.⠀
Oh yeah, and finding an inside man and utilising Qi time isn't a bad idea either...⠀
Both the Impact Theory interview with @tombilyeu and The Third Door book itself will be well worth your time, I guarantee it. Go check them out. ⠀
Find the interview on the @impacttheory website & YouTube⠀
