It’s been a crazy year!! We bought a house, kids started school and then we had TWINS!! And let’s face it, quilting just didn’t make the list of things I had to do during the day! But today I’m back at it! I’m making one of my favorite patterns! (Its actually the first quilt I eve made!) I really love buggy barns unique method! #buggybarn#starcrazy
This guy is officially at the quilter! It’s been sitting in a box for years just waiting for the wheels to added. (I started it over 7 years ago) I didn’t feel confident doing the appliqué until recently. I’m so happy I did it! I feel comfortable with this technique but I don’t think I’ll be doing a lot of it... too tedious for this girl! 🤪🚜✂️
Halloween Jacks by Buggy Barn done. Sue McKinnon thanks again for the pattern and fabrics!!! One of my faves. Quilted with my embroidery hoop with variegated Isacord in candy corn design. #buggybarn#halloweenquilt#inthehoopquilting
Day 11 is #favoritecolor
Not sure that I have only one.
It’s the combination of colors that makes my heart sing😍
The flowers here could easily have been, blue, teal and turquise and I would have loved that one too.
If you ask the girls in my Quiltguild they would say that I have a passion for PURPLE 🙋🏻♀️💜
I rearely find myself using yellow, brown and neutrals. Have to practice on that 😋
Today on the cutting mat is wool. I love wool. Every quilt has a story. While working at the @quilterslodge a older lady came in and said, “Does anyone like wool? I want to sell my quilt that I’m not interested in any more”. The pattern is The Buggy Barn named “Wool Stars”. They brought her to me and said she wanted to sell the whole quilt that’s was cut out and the container for $50. I snatched it. Her loss is all I have to say. ❤️#buggybarn#wool#starquilt#igquiltfest
Started with a cool stripe for binding until I realized I couldn’t match it up the way I wanted to. So ended up with this pretty little dot and a little plaid thrown in for interest #buggybarn#basketquilt#2018yearofthewip
Started the reindeer to go with my Santa square. One down, 8 to go. There is no way it will be done this year but Keith is gone again this week and so my nights have been filled with sewing. Better that than TV! #onesisterdesigns#buggybarn
I should clean out my sewing shed more often. I have all my turkeys done and three of my twelve pumpkins done. I don’t even remember why I stopped working on it😳😳. This getting old thing is not working for me😂😂. Who knows what else is in there. #buggybarn . #crazytomturkey 🦃
It's always been a dream of mine to have chickens. Maybe next summer this will happen, but until then I am making #buggybarn chickens! If you've never tried a buggy barn pattern, i suggest you do. They are different than your normal everyday sewing and so much fun!
