New pizzas hitting the city today. First up, our guest chef pizza, 10% of sales go to @steppingstoneschina. Our guest chefs this time are Sean Jorgensen and Anna Bautista, and they're bringing it with a #buffalochickenpizza . Fried chicken, cheese, hot tomato and served with ranch dressing.
Wanted to share a frugal life hack with you all. Do you like specialty pizzas? 🍕 I do. Basically, I could live off of pizza. I also love all kinds of interesting flavor combinations. And honestly ordering pizza MAY have been a ridiculous portion of CC debt.
I started buying frozen plain cheese pizzas because I was finding amazing couponing deals @krogerco (like under $3) and my husband doesn’t eat pork and is pretty picky. So boring cheese it was. 🧀
I started adding my own toppings. This pizza would easily be $14-20 for delivery. Instead it cost around $4.
We stuck a chicken breast in the crockpot with hot sauce (that I couponed - FREE) on low for six hours.
We drizzled some buffalo wing sauce on the frozen @freschetta pizza and topped with the chicken and jalapeños on my half. When it came out we added a ranch drizzle and leftover green onions and queso fresco.
Of course you can do this with any flavor combo you like and can even split it further for family tastes.
I love hot wings AND I love pizza (I mean but really I love all food) so I decided to do a combo of each for dinner tonight! 🙌🏻 Ingredients:
3 oz Cooked chicken (split between both wraps)
1/3 cup low fat mozzarella cheese (split between both wraps)
2 TBS Franks Buffalo Sauce (per wrap)
*Optional- I added sliced tomatoes, onions and jalapeños. I like veggies 😉
1. Set oven to broil and warm up wrap (this will make it crispy)- should only take a few minutes and make sure you flip it over to toast both sides. *I spray my wrap with Pam and sprinkle garlic salt on it before I do this but it is optional
2. Cook 1 serving of the chicken (about 3 oz) via microwave or skillet
3. Add chicken, mozzarella cheese, buffalo sauce and chicken to top of wraps
4. Switch oven to bake at 350 and place loaded wraps back in oven until cheese is melted
Enjoy!🔥 If you try this out- let me know what you think!
