I'll NEVER forget #bosnia especially after crashing the car & paying the police to let us in the country 🤦♂️.
1st off I have to thank my road dogs @thelastkong @justinsmontgomery and #Stacey for making the best out of this day. The photos really show you how #sarajevo really is in my eyes.
I know deep down I didn't give this place a chance and I don't want to say anything negative. Long story short I made a few mistakes and paid for them... literally 😂. At the end of the day they definitely make for great stories and I feel like that's what travel is all about. I always say the story of my life will be an exciting one
This year I've been travelling mainly through Europe specifically Eastern and Central and I can honestly say I can recommend this part of the world faster than 90% of the places I've been to. There's no such thing as a perfect place but I can tell you Eastern Europe is very close. It's one of those places you contemplate moving to. The place you think you could possibly build a life... or business 😏. .
Well if you do and you have any questions holla at your boy I'll tell you what the good spots are...just stay away from...bullet hole Central 😂
I am living proof that it's never too late to find your true love! I met mine at 41! Last night he shocked me and proposed 💍 at our company work party. We met at work, so it seemed fitting to share that moment with our work family!💞 This is a dream come true for me! Not the proposal, not the ring, not the wedding...but the man and the life we've already started creating!
I hope you are as happy as I am! If you're not, I hope you don't stop until you find your version of happy! Life is too short to be miserable! I spent 24 years trying to make it work with someone that wasn't right for me. Don't waste that long if you know in your heart it's not right for you!
I had no idea I would be posting about this subject so soon, but I need any budget wedding tips you have💒!
Early Sunday morning shopping cart for this week! It’s very small this week since I’ve picked up so much meat over the past few weeks on deals, so I’ll be working to use items from my pantry and freezer!
Run don’t walk to Aldi if you have one to get the $0.79 eggs and stock up. At my store that’s over half price!
Spent $36 including the small pot to give to my boyfriend for his new apartment!
Happy Sunday friends!
Are you a homebody or do you like going out?
I’m a homebody, for sure. I love to curl up on the chaise next to a fire and read a book or watch TV. Last night, my hubby and I hosted some students for dinner, instead of taking them out for a holiday celebration. 💖🎄💖🎄
At home nights are a great way to spend time with people, without breaking the bank! Here are some ideas we like:
💖Potluck style dinner - invite a couple friends and divide up the meal prep. Maybe the serves the main dish, someone brings a side, a salad, a dessert. Everyone gets a great meal at a fraction of the cost of eating out!
💖Game Night - if you have games and love to laugh with friends, the entertainment is FREE! Everyone can bring a snack or drink.
💖X-box social — if you’re a gamer, you probably already do this. Get on and play games with friends from all over — everyone’s in their own homes! It does require an annual @xbox Live membership, but we’ve been playing with some of the same people for a couple years now! We even travel to see each other IRL. 😊These are a couple of ideas for lower cost social times, so your budget doesn’t take a big hit! I’m also thinking about a mom event, with kids just playing in the yard while moms craft, with maybe a $5 fee for materials.
What are some money saving social things you’ve been doing?
First shop on our new budget! We set aside $120 a week but have come in at $104.10 this week. We have plenty of meat in the freezer for dinners and lunches just needed extra ingredients for them and some snacks! Also needed cat food to last us about two weeks! Next week we are trying the veggie market out instead because we noticed it’s cheaper and you get more( after we had done this shop 😂).
7.5/10... Title says it all. Only took about 5 pages before I decided to do my own ‘no spend month’ during November - did pretty well except for one complete blowout long weekend away (no regrets). I enjoyed this though - good motivation for anyone wanting to tighten up on mindless spending. #passportlizreads#nospendchallenge#thenospendyear
Hi everyone. I am just about to embark on my debt free journey of over £20,000 worth of debt. Here’s the backstory, I have over committed with credit whilst being on an apprenticeship wage and having to support my family (mum & sister). My sister is unemployed after having a car accident, my mums finances are stretched due to running the house. You live and you learn though! Being young and seeing offers of having ££££’s of credit is very exciting and feels like it’s ‘free’ whilst making the minimum payments. So after struggling to make my monthly payments I decided it was time to take charge of my situation. So here goes... #debtfreecommunity#debtfreejourney#debtfree#daveramseybabysteps#budgetplanner#budgeting
Look at how my planner lays perfectly flat! 😭 I wish I had it sooner!
I got a soft brush pen from Daiso and tried it on my weekly spread. Glad to see there's no bleed through on 100 gsm paper! Not bad for Php 88 huh?
P.S. Love this handcrafted card from @purplequilling! It's so intricate! She personalizes each card, too. 🍒
'Checking my bank account after going Christmas shopping.'
Actually, it used to scare me to check my bank account after ANY kind of shopping!
I'd see my total on the screen and I swear my blood pressure flew up a little; 'HOW THE HECK DID I SPEND THAT MUCH?'
These days, John and I do the 'envelope system', shared by @funcheaporfree - Jordan's got some genius ideas and we really love this one!
Now that I work for myself and John's at home full time, keeping our budget in check is so important, especially over Christmas.
These days, spending money is a carefully devised plan.
We check our accounts every day and know what's coming in and what's going out. No more heart-sinking moments when I check my account after a trip to Target!
How's everyone going with their Christmas shopping??
