Have you been told lately “You are doing a good job!” ..? | My pediatrician said that to me today as we wrapped up our visit filled with questions and concerns and it really struck a chord with me! I don’t know if I just needed to hear it, or if I was just tired from the hour+ long wait in the waiting room and then patient room, trying to keep my unruly boy from grabbing all the things...but I almost started crying right then! 🤣 I wanted to hug him! Sometimes I think we just need to hear it from an outside perspective. So just in case you need to hear it... YOU’RE DOING A GOOD JOB! ❤️👊🏻 #motherhood
BUDGET DECOR: €75 BOYS' BEDROOM | My latest project has been a real labour of love: a low-budget makeover of a bedroom for my friend's two little boys. It's part of a new series on my blog (you'll find the link on my profile) where we'll be doing up a series of rooms in my friend's house, all on a low budget. The idea is to inspire and encourage anyone who thinks that they can't afford a beautiful home to know that YOU CAN DO IT! 💪🏻I'm talking more about this on my stories today, and I'll be saving it to my highlights, so do check it out and do also please let me know if you have any tips you can share for decorating on a budget. Swipe for the before and to see what's possible, even on a tight budget. ➡️
Last Sept we moved house and up the property ladder. It's a long story but we needed to move for our family's safety and our mental health despite not being debt free. And since we moved we haven't been able to afford to decorate at all apart from a coat of paint in each boy's bedroom. So the house practically looks the exact same as it did when we bought it. Which means that sometimes it doesn't feel ours, if that makes sense. So lately I decided to try and add little budget friendly touches that just show us that it really is ours and we belong here.
And here's one little corner of our bedroom. This is on top of my chest of drawers. The rabbit was a soft toy that my late Grandparents gave to me and I can't bear to throw away. The photoframe was 50p from a local charity shop. If you know me then you'll know that I'm a cowgirl at heart and love all things Texan so the print was from an etsy shop called ThisCountryRoom and cost £5. The cactus trinket dish was from TK Maxx and cost £3.99.
Everytime I look at this little corner I just smile because I know this is where I belong 😁
Does anyone else have a thing for cathedral mirrors? 😍😩
Funny story, my husband and I made a quick trip into Home Goods to kills some time before dinner plans. ⠀⠀
I immediately saw this mirror and had to have it. Plus it was on a huge sale! ⠀⠀
We decided to do a quick lap around the store. My husband found another huge raw wood edge mirror that he loved 😅
We rushed to carry this big things to the checkout so we could make it to dinner on time. We were so determined about these mirrors!
After that, we spent a good ten minutes realizing that these two huge mirrors were not going to fit in my tiny Kia Forte. My husband tried real hard to make it work though 😂
We had to quick carry one back in the store to hold it for us. But when you find something at Home Goods you gotta snatch it up, right??
Cheers @bandq_uk for giving the public some seriously cheap and cheerful ways to glam up their home!
Small candle £4

Finally finding dark green that matches your room....priceless!
Another little #DIY weekend project .. I felt like the wall art in the Mother In Laws’ living room needed a little sprucing up. 👩🏽🔧
Only took 5 minutes. I had a look in my craft box and found some white ribbon. And glued it around the glass edge of the frame with fabric glue .. let it dry and then hung it up .. and it’s done the trick ! 🔧🔨 #WallArt#DIY#CrispWhiteLivingRoom#BudgetHomeDecor#DecoratingIdeas
I’m just going to spend my Sunday afternoon chilling on the couch admiring what a difference painting this wall has made to our home.
Have you ever looked at your house one day and realised that it’s become incredibly boring? I blame baby haze, having had small children for the last 11 years, and misguided attempts at minimalism. I say ‘misguided’ because I get sucked into the promises of a simpler life and throw out All The Things, when the truth is, I LIKE having stuff around me! I’m a visual person.
A few weeks ago I suddenly realised how boring and brown this room was looking, and I started desperately craving some colour. So I’m on a mission now to bring some life to our living room. It’s still got a way to go, but I’m very happy with what we’ve accomplished in a week. Next on my list are some artworks for this wall and rugs to cover up some of the slate. 💚

Today's been a hard day. Grief is such a confusing emotion, and funerals definitely have a funny way of throwing your feelings even more out of whack.
I know times like this shouldn't, but they really do put life and relationships in to perspective. We forget truly how important family and friends are until they are gone so today we are taking the boys to pick any toy they want at the toy shop, stuff their faces in McDonald's and whatever else they want to do next, we will do it. Not because happiness is in materialistic things, but because for once, life is too short to not do what you want once in a while. .
I've never felt so unsure of the world than what I have these last few weeks. Squeeze your babies a little tighter tonight, the world truly can be a scary place❤️.
We needed a bigger table and found this set on Gumtree. I love the detail in the legs!
It needs some work but for now I went with a revamp of the seat covers, because #time and #onemillionprojectsatonce

I love sharing simple, inexpensive ways I decorate my home. I'm not a professional decorator by any means, but I love it!
This is our girls bedroom wall and get this: this whole display was less than $15 total!
The frames on the left we're a garage sale find. And they were already white...hooray for no spray painting!
The big sign in the middle was a @hobbylobby clearance find! $6!
And the shelf and flowers on the right we're thrifted for around $5 for all three pieces.
Guys! It doesn't have to be expensive to decorate your home!
Sometimes I forget that I am a dressmaker by trade and get carried away with grand ideas 😂
My $5 bench upcycle (which is still in need of support beams underneath and a coat of stain) cost me an extra $45😬 #whoops and was a lot harder than I expected to get it looking like my ‘vision’
I’m still pretty happy with the result. Swipe left for before pic.
07/06/18~Well CeCe and her creations r at it again..since I'm not working at the moment.. taking advantage of doing some things that seems overwhelming when u work everyday. I finally got my outdoor living space done, of course on a budget..it's called "Cozy's Corner".
Table decor courtesy of my favorite spot @dollartree, beautiful chair cushions @dollargeneral, chairs @aldiusa and table at yard sale $10.. I spent a whopping $150 for the entire look!! If u need something done on a budget, HOLLA 😂
Joann’s seriously has some of the cutest decor! And when they run a sale or clearance items, they are far from stingy! In fact it’s very rare I pay full price for anything at Joann’s. Make sure you download their app and sign up for their coupons! It’s free, will save you money, and you won’t regret it! Promise! Also how is the 4th of July already over? :(
😂 love the filter in insta sometimes.....frugally speaking I was tired of looking at this dumping spot for random stuff so I put things away (dvds, books, artwork, library books and dust😮) then I got out all my home decor stuff and moved it around. So stuff from my loungeroom is here and a free frame I was given now has a tea towel that was a Christmas gift a few years ago on it. Feeling some relief from the clutter. Because I’m home with my kids all the time the clutter gets overwhelming. Tip for today: shop from what you already have at home 🙂 #shopfromhome#halltable#stylingmyhomeonabudget#budgethomedecor#budgethomedecorating#lovekmart
Surrounded by the chaos of partially unpacked boxes (only about 2% of which you can see from this angle), the flowers I ‘stole’ from the huge hydrangea bush at last week’s vacation rental are the one thing in this house that’s actually in order.
