Obsessed with my lil dude ✨#browneyedboy
(The front clip looks tight but it’s rly not. It just gets stuck on the fabric. And the red thing at the bottom is the extra webbing of the strap folded up.) Training update! I’ve done PA with him for three days in a row (kind of on accident) but he’s still trucking. I’m obviously gonna wait a while before we go back out again. Still, I am constantly impressed with his vested behavior. He knows it’s time to work when he gets dressed. Loud bangs don’t startled him as often, but he’s not great at not sniffing everything. When I give a correction he focuses back on me. We have lots to work on and proof, including: long-distance stays, LD recalls (recalls in general really), drop it, leave it, and down stays. He is always so fidgety. I hope that’s the puppy in him and he’ll settle as he gets older. I also realized I made a huge mistake in teaching him to hop up as an advanced anxiety interruption. Now he gets so excited when I start doing it that he humps and bites me. Any tips on how to reverse something like that? I’m confusing the lil guy and I feel bad. Walking in the parking lot is much more enjoyable now. There’s less pulling and more amiably trotting by my side. It was like a switch in his brain. It’s weird how he suddenly changed, but im not complaining! We have a walking leash manners class on the 28th for a few weeks. Im excited! He needs the desensitization to other dogs really badly. And maybe this weekend I can take him to my college campus and do some training/exploring there. That is all. Our Caninecradle vest should be here tomorrow and I’m super pumped!!

This boy is my brown-eyed teddy bear. He’s so sick tonight but it has been so long since he asked for mama cuddles that I’ve sat with him without moving for almost 3 hours. (Very our of character for us both!) #cherishthemoments#browneyedboy#teddybear#7years
