My Rhinebeck sweater in front of our Rhinebeck house. Thanks @vicki.knitorious for the pictures!! (OMG I look so tired and goofy!!!) THANK YOU @spunrightround for the AMAZING YARN!!! I'm so glad I got to meet you and show you what your yarn inspired me to knit!!! Thank you @theacolman for such a great cardigan pattern that is so easy to modify and make your own (pattern: Shaken or Stirred.) But most of all, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to all of you that stopped me at the Fairgrounds this weekend to tell me how much they liked the sweater, inquired about the yarn and pattern, and just told me what a great job I did. I have knit a lot of Rhinebeck sweaters in my 13 years of going to the festival, and no other sweater has elicited the response this one did! I felt like the Belle of the Ball!!! Thanks so much for making me feel so good. I so appreciate it!!! 😘😘😘😘❤️❤️❤️ #favoritesweaterever#rhinebecksweater2018#rhinebecksweater
Last weekend I was away with some girlfriends and I taught a couple of them to knit. One thing I always tell new knitters (and old) is never be afraid to rip stuff out - because the worst thing is that you have to reknit it and WE LOVE KNITTING! I'm about to eat my own words because I have to rip out the epic brioche shawl color I spent all day knitting yesterday. Ain't no way I can fix a dropped short row turn in two-color brioche without ripping, so here we go. I'm upset - because that was a lot of freaking knitting - but also a little bit glad because I can fix the stuff I didn't like so much and rework the short row spacing. Ripping is never the wrong answer kids! It can only make things better! 👍🏻😂😪 #ripit#ripitgood#rhinebecksweater2018#rhinebecksweater
How gorgeous is this test knit by @twistedcolorsfiber?? I'll be releasing my Rocky Mountain Sunburn pattern tomorrow, stay tuned!
Regrann from @twistedcolorsfiber - Finished my Rocky Mountain Sunburn Shawl testknit for Ashleigh @wanderlustfiberarts . Love the different brioche stitches she incorporated into this design. Keep an eye on her page for pattern release! Yarn is @toadhollownj in color The Circus Only Comes Out at Night and @twistedfintch in color Tea Rose. - #regrann
The collar is going to be EPIC. Starting to worry it won't be done in time! Yarn is @spunrightround's Combat Boots and Babydoll Dresses with @madelinetosh Candlewick as the contrasting color. Maybe one of my all-time favorite combinations. #rhinebecksweater2018#rhinebecksweater
The obsession is real! Knitting (and designing) Susurrate was such an immensely joyful and dare I say, easy, experience. It felt like I was a vessel for the design and it just all came tumbling out of me. Writing the pattern, on the other hand, feels really, really hard. Not bad hard, just hard. My brain hasn't worked like this in a long time. Hats off to all the designers who do this all the time! I'm in awe of you! Thank you for all your hard work! ❤️

I know I should have waited to show this to you when I could take the fabulous pictures I have styled in my mind, but this shawl has been sitting on the floor, blocking, for the last three days and I couldn't stand not to share it any longer. 🍃
I am diligently working on the charts and the pattern and it's going well. I have no timeline for when it will be released (I've never done this before) but it will be released. 🍃
Susurrate: a half pi shawl in two color brioche!
You guys! I FINISHED IT! The border just about killed me - I can't tell you how many times I had to rip and reknit. And I ran out of yarn again - TWICE. There are actually three different colors of the "white" yarn. I haven't gone to bed before 1AM for the past two weeks knitting my little heart out! Those almost 500 stitch brioche rows are LONG, yo! But I did it. I finished my first design. To be honest, I'm a little bit in shock and a lot of bit emotional. Next steps are to REALLY block this thing and then start it all over again. @bluemoonfiberarts and I are going to figure out the REAL yarn for this project and I'm going to turn it into something you can all knit too. I have so much more to say, but I'll wait until I show you the whole thing. Thank you so much for your support along the way. It means EVERYTHING! ❤️
