WEATHER THE STORM
Storms come. The lightning flashes. Thunder rolls. Sometimes the hill pounds so dolly and incessantly it becomes frightening. Sometimes storms do damage. But storms are not forever.
Just as nature plays out her storms, sometimes with violence, sometimes with gray days, sometimes with a gentle cleansing rain, we have storms in our lives storms in our soul. Storms are part of life, part of growth, part of the journey.
Light a candle. Wrap up warmly. Make yourself safe and secure. Then wait for the storm to pass, knowing it will.

One of my favorite spiritual teachers, @jack_kornfield, posted this the other day & it struck a chord in me.
A couple days later, the incredible @christinechenyoga came back to NYC from her new home in Cali to teacher a master class- she informed us we would use blocks the whole class. Not because we needed them but because it would teach us how to slow down, it would teach us things we have been missing without that “support”. She wisely curated the class around this idea: “We all have blockages in our life. Are we going to choose to build them up high & create a wall? Or are we going to take them, one by one, place them in front of us, and build a path.” #yoga#breathe#autumnalequinox#pathfinder

The term "fight or flight" is also known as the stress response. It's what the body does as it prepares to confront or avoid danger. When appropriately invoked, the stress response helps us rise to many challenges. But trouble starts when this response is constantly provoked by less momentous, day-to-day events, such as money woes, traffic jams, job worries, or relationship problems.
We can't avoid all sources of stress in our lives, nor would we want to. But we can develop healthier ways of responding to them. BREATHE ~ health.harvard.edu.com

Aqui varios tips: *Como es bastante altura (5.248m) , es requisito entrenarte antes en otro volcán, yo escogí el #Imbabura aunque el Pichincha es otra buena opción
*NO HAY AFÁN, que sea tu mantra durante el recorrido. Si tienes buen estado fisico, te tomará unas 3:30 horas llegar a la cumbre, sin pausa pero sin prisa!
* este volcan es parte del proceso de aclimatación para el Cotopaxi o el Chimborazo (+6.000m) asi que sé consciente de cada paso que das
* no es cuestión de carreras, es cuestión de vivir el momento y es todo un entrenamiento de conciencia, flow y sincronía en tu respiración, oxigenacion, ritmo, movimiento fisico y estado mental y emocional
*SUPER RECOMENDADO IR CON GUIA, esto porq casi a 5.300m el camino no esta bien marcado y es muy rocoso y delgado por lo q te puedes perder y se requiere de cuerdas y arnés por el fuerte viento

You feel overwhelmed in your current situation? Professional or private? The mental, emotional stress is too big?
Overload is a sign that you need a break. Do not judge yourself for it!
Here are 5 tips on what to do right away:
1) watch your breath. Watch all the way from the tip of the nose to the stomach and back.
2) Take a look around, realize what is visible and what is happening around you.
3) Avoid nasty thoughts about yourself, instead say good words to how you would do it to a friend.
4) Take a break and do something good for yourself, cook for example a delicious tea.
5) Take the overwork as what it is: a sign that you need a break. And just let it be there without fighting it.
6) Do not compare yourself with others. You are you and others are different.

Dear ones, no one confines you... but what you believe about yourself and the world around you plays out like a movie everyday. Our expectations are validated when we feed the fear behind them.
We are excellent story tellers.
Ask if it's TRUE when blame and suspicion or judgement creeps in. Set that part free. Set everyone that's ever wronged you free and release them from expectations that limit the capacity to experience joy and happiness. Many precious breaths are lost and waiting for that exhale.
