The discipline of simplicity reveals that living light holds many keys. That even when the valley comes, we can choose to rise above, trusting that the mountain is still there. That laughter + praise + JOY are salt to the earth, disarming every action or thing that seeks to diminish. *
It’s Keeping HOME Monday here at the farm. A day where we remember to give thanks as we work to reclaim the atmosphere of house + land. To some, it might sound foolish. To us, it serves as compass, our North Star day. *

Feet placement is also an important factor(it’s a full body movement) but for the sake of this vid we will just focus on upper body. Please pay attention to queues on 1️⃣Engaging traps 2️⃣Pulling shoulders back 3️⃣Elbow placement 4️⃣Wrist positioning 5️⃣Breathing. Notice how @jayyddub stays stable throughout and how well he isolates his pecs. No aggressive bouncing of the bar as well as lifting butt off the seat. Entire movement is controlled.

I've been super stressed lately - my to do list seems to have gotten out of hand and there are far too many demands on my time. Any semblance of independence or quiet time seems to have vanished.
Renovations. So many layers of jobs and work to do right now and the irritating thing is that I feel it stopping me from being able to balance myself out with some of those things I need to keep as constants in my life - namely nature time, art & gym/sweat time.
I know I need to watch that balance at all times. It's not something I can let build up a debt to repay later. It needs to be small adjustments for balance all the time. Right now I'm doing everything I can to keep that balance from slipping away.
The past 2 night's I've done 30 mins of Yin yoga instead of the handstand mechanics course because my energy levels weren't there - and honestly I think I need to keep working on the drills covered already before I can progress further.
Getting to the gym tonight to start identifying some physical imbalances that have come out of constant day to day imbalances.
Deep breaths. In. Out. In. Out.
We can do this.

If you’re going to “reach your destination” with #integrity , it will likely take you “longer than most.” We often want things instantly, and can miss out on the journey. Rushing to the next pose or trying to beat your peers to the parking lot, focusing on what everyone else is doing, only affects YOUR experience and #reality . •
As you #breathe softly and deeply, let go of old #relationships , old careers, old perspectives and the assumed truths of how reality works and/or relates to “you”... let go of the idea of “you” being separate from all that is. Use the next 10 breaths to let go of #life “leading up until” this #moment . Underneath feeling or not feeling, find peace which is an essential foundation to anything. Out of peace, #joy and appreciation can shine on what we love. Unless you’re a unicorn, in which case ur already a shiny mofo. •
Integrate or “learn” the lessons, leave behind the drama and resistance. A #teacher I practice with said, “an entire ocean of water cannot sink a ship, unless the ship Lets the water in.” You do NOT have to absorb or stoop to any seeming negativity. That’s not really compassion if u ask me(or a lot of spiritual teachers). Use the waves, tides, and storms to further your odyssey. Rise. Float. Go with the flow. #followyourheart
You holding a still, loving and peacefully present space for negativity may Be it’s chance at realizing its own self-made suffering, and liberate those whom you cross paths with. The ego is an effect, not an actual thing. An assumption out of relationship and misidentification with body and mind. If we can balance our temporal uniqueness and individuality with knowledge that u are the actual Universe, then you’re kinda unstoppable with no resistance. And kind. #spreadlove
