Brenda says: "I got involved with Breast Cancer Now after my sister died of breast cancer. I’ve achieved so much through my fundraising throughout the years, and I’m so proud to be on the front line for this year. I’m wearing pink for all the sisters that are missed."⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Brenda has been fundraising for Breast Cancer Now for four years.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"For wear it pink 2017, I decided to raise money by conquering my fears. For example, I always wanted a tattoo but been too scared, so if I raised £400 I would get a tattoo of a pink ribbon. I would love to ride a motorbike, so that’s another one on the list.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It was important to show my support not just for my sister, but to everyone who has or knows someone who is impacted by this disease. I also wanted to show that we are united together in finding a cure by raising funds to support the research it takes.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This charity do not treat people as a number and they really are engaged with their supporters, fundraisers and campaigners. That’s when I decided to join wear it pink. Being part of this event for so many years has showed me how dedicated Breast Cancer Now is. They are like a second family to me now and I do honestly love them all."⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For a future where everyone with breast cancer lives, we will wear it pink. Register following the link in our bio 💗⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Prior to the nineteenth century, only widows, orphans, and servants ate lobster. And in some parts of New England, serving lobster to prison inmates more than once a week was forbidden by law, as doing so was considered cruel and unusual punishment." -The Lobster Chronicles by Linda Greenlaw "When crowded into tight quarters such as store display tanks, lobsters tend to become cannibalistic. Sellers tightly band their claws to prevent them from feasting on their neighbors"
-History.com "Lobsters and other shellfish have harmful bacteria naturally present in their flesh. Once the lobster is dead, these bacteria can rapidly multiply and release toxins that may not be destroyed by cooking." -sciencefocus.com

About 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12.4%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime.
In 2018, an estimated 266,120 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in women in the U.S., along with 63,960 new cases of non-invasive (in situ) breast cancer.
About 2,550 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in men in 2018. A man’s lifetime risk of breast cancer is about 1 in 1,000.
'I was diagnosed in October 2014. I have two sons and my youngest was just six months old. It was an awful blow to our family. 'I had six rounds of chemotherapy, a mastectomy and 15 rounds of radiotherapy. Three months after finishing treatment, I was told there was a recurrence. I had another round of treatment and another mastectomy. I hoped that this was the end, but then a cancerous lymph node was found in my chest and removed. 'I always thought deep down it was only a matter of time before breast cancer reared its ugly head. In May 2017, I was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer. 'It wasn’t a huge shock, but was devastating. I couldn’t get it out of my head that my children would grow up without a mummy. It’s a strange feeling knowing your life will be cut short, especially when you’re only 32. 'It’s made me do the things I’d been putting off. I’ve learned to live in the moment and if I want to do something, I do it. 'When I got the call to say I had been picked to model in The Show, I was so happy. For the last two years I’ve been in the crowd watching my friends, and now it’s my chance! 'I want to show the world that after a double mastectomy, you can still look beautiful. It took a while to accept my new body shape and my scars after my surgeries. Now I embrace living flat and my body.' Join Kim and 30 inspirational models at as they step out in style onto the catwalk after a breast cancer diagnosis. Raise vital funds to help us be there for others like her. It was a great morning at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Canton kickoff breakfast. We're proud to have our very own Kyle Obendorf representing the Real Men Wear Pink campaign and Maribeth Graham as a committee member!
Game day strategy. Do you have yours?? 5 days away until the tournament is here!! Pollyball 2018 is August 18th at international park in Toledo Ohio. It starts at 9am and even if you don’t play or don’t have a team we have plenty of food and drink and other activities to keep you busy all day!
There were some mixed reactions to the classy boobie bunting. If ya’ll remember back to the grey one in this shape I was trying not to make it look like a string of boobs...well I decided to just go for it with the peach. There was no fighting it. YOLO. 😂💕 They’re just boobs guys! And considering Sharp Tooth Studio was named whilst nursing my 8 month old baby (named Rex of all the names too!) who had 8 teeth at the time...I thought it was appropriate.
It doesn’t get much better than this... after a tough few days,it took the simple things to soothe my soul, help me step back and appreciate the things that really matter and put a little perspective into my life!! I am so grateful for the simple reminders ❤️🙌🏽
