This little sassy pants said the blessing before we ate. In her prayer she asked that Daddy would feel better soon. I thought it was a good time to talk to her about the possibility that daddy might not get better.
"You mean die?" she asked.
"Yes, daddy is going to die."
Right then she put her tiny little hands together, looked up and said, "Jesus, please don't let my daddy die."
Y'all, it was all I could do not to cry in my food!
Tomorrow we get the results of John's scan.
Of course we will share what we learn. .
The lack of compassion does not surprise me. But the lack of empathy does; forcibly denying that the baby Rhino is not hurting is astonishing and disgusting. I see our world collapsing because there’s things like this that are happening and are noticed but ignored. The public out-cry is not stronger enough until is personally alters their life some way #sorry#ourworldisevil#breaksmyheart
Today my handsome man had a pretty intense seizure for the first time in his life. He’s usually a pretty smiley guy, but today this smile means more to me than usual. Love seeing him happy and feeling better after a very scary morning. .
For those of you who have never experienced a seizing dog, here are a few tips….
Your dog will usually begin acting odd a few seconds before the seizure strikes. If you see him doing this make sure to clear the area of anything that might harm him if he bumped into it. They will move around erratically and they will be incredibly disoriented, DO NOT TOUCH THEM. I know this is going to be incredibly hard to do when you see your dog in that state, but there’s a good chance they will bite you if you attempt to handle them. They will be foaming from the mouth, and may release their bowels and bladder, and their body will convulse. Seizures can last anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes, but if anything last more than five minutes you need to take your dog to the vet ASAP. After the seizure is over they will be very disoriented and stumble around as if they’re drunk. Again, the duration of this is different for every dog and every situation, so the best you can do is keep an extra close eye on the dog for the next 24 hours and make sure he’s in a safe area where he will not harm himself. If the dog has a cluster of seizures within a 24 hour period, then you’ll want to take your dog to the vet as soon as possible. Always give your vet a call to notify them about what’s going on...they will talk you through what to do and determine the best response based on your pets condition. Most importantly, be sure to take note of the time, day, and how long the seizure lasted. It is also a good idea to take note of how your dog was behaving earlier in the day so you can try to determine what might be causing it. Unfortunately, seizures can be caused by a number of things, so it’s best to monitor your dog as thoroughly as possible. Stay safe, and be prepared...you never know when an emergency situation may strike. #themoreyouknow#petfirstaid#beprepared#seniordog#seizuressuck#KodiFTLOD#TinleyFTLOD
A few years ago I recall vividly finding out about a friends breast cancer. I remember the phone call, the time of day, the feeling of helplessness, and the desire I had to do so much more than what I could do. I was there for her as much as she needed me.... phone calls, crying, sharing frustration, etc.
In the past year I’ve heard of more and more people with this diagnosis. And it absolutely broke me up yesterday. I have this soul desire in me to help. That’s all I want to do is help! Which is why I do what I do ! I passionately love helping others!!!!! This morning I ran across this amazing scripture and it just made me stop and pray for all those I know in remission and fighting this fight. God heals! He heals mentally emotionally and He can heal physically! Yahweh-Rafa
There are so many moments in your life that I miss, but I truly hope you grow up to know that I do everything I can for things to change. If only things were different, then I wouldn’t miss a single thing and I’d be there for you whenever you wanted or needed me. 💗
Come on mamas, let’s pray 🙏🏼 our hearts out for the 12 Thailand boys trapped in the cave! ❤️ Four have miraculously been freed today, but more rain is in the forecast and they are racing time to get the others out of the dangerous 2.5 mile 6 hour journey. I linked the latest story in my profile if you are wanting to read more. They have been trapped now for 15 days huddled on a cold wet rock. The first 10 days in total darkness. #breaksmyheart#imlosingsleep#prayforthailand
