In my bio you’ll find what I wrote about talking to my daughter about anxiety. I’m reposting it because in my 7 years of judging pageants, 2018 is the first year that any of the contestants have spoken to me openly about anxiety and depression. As someone who relates since childhood, I.AM.SO.PROUD this day has finally come. 🙌🏽Proud of the brave young ladies I had the honor of interviewing. Proud of their parents for giving them the emotional tools to communicate how they feel. Proud of anyone contributing to this shift that is ending the stigma surrounding mental health care. Proud to be part of a pageant system where the contestants make friends, build confidence, and feel safe to talk to me about their true selves. We bombard kids/teens with images of perfect happiness, and no one should sink alone into their lows just because nobody had the chance to tell them there are still sunny skies ahead. Let’s talk about it. 👑
Why am I doing what I’m doing?
Why am I obsessed with caring for my body, fueling it and making it stronger? This is my why. •
I seem to have the most amazing two little girls that trust me with their lives and need me to be an example of how to live it! I need to be around for them and want to live long enough to see them thrive and succeed for their children!
I want to live to see my 100th birthday!
This photo of Maya and Enzo was taken first thing this morning and it will always make me smile.
I could have chosen so many pictures of things I’m grateful for today - the beautiful house, pool and grounds we’re staying in, the pretty villages we visited, the special moments between all of us that we laughed about.
However it’s this little girl, whose 7th birthday it is tomorrow, who makes me so grateful, just to be in her life.
Maya was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes last December so there’s still a huge learning curve to go through until she’s stable but she’s the bravest, funniest and most loveable little girl in the world and I’m very grateful to be her auntie Katie. 💝💖💗💖💝. #t1dwarrior#bravegirls#lovethisgirltobits#lifelongfriendship#katiebridgelifestyle

Pussy Riot is a Russian “Punk Rock” band”. All members of this band are female. The band is well-known for protesting against illegal arrests in Russia.
They performed in the closing ceremony of Fifa World Cup 2018 and invaded the field during the second half of the World Cup final to make an effort to “stop illegal arrests” at rallies and “let all political prisoners free” in Russia.
One female protestor managed to high-five France forward Kylian Mbappe, while another was tackled by a Croatian player.
We “Punk Rock/metal and heavy metal” fans don't care about consequences when we decide to do something. Even on a gun point, none can make us do anything against our will/wish.
I am proud of all members of this band who had the courage to demonstrate true “Punk Rock” attitude.
Punk Rock/Rock isn't just a genre/category of music. *It is an attitude of being genuine, clear, loud (passionate), determined and brave/courageous.
I wish I was present there to talk to these beautiful and brave girls . 😍😍❤❤❤ Let’s end this post with the famous quote of AC/DC : “For Those About to Rock, We Salute You.”
