welp I’ve been enduring the Great Depression for almost a week now & my appetite has either been non-existent or I’ve just been emotionally eating everything in sight😊 
I’m trying to get back to normal but it’s hard. I haven’t really wanted to lift, but forced myself to go today and do legs. If you know me, you know you never have to FORCE me to do legs so that’s a red flag. My whole body feels like I was hit by a bus (isn’t it weird how our emotions can take so much out of us, even physically??) so I stuck to moderate weight & time under tension. 
Although I am happy with the places I’m growing already, I know cleaning up my eating will be a huge help this offseason — so I’m trying to fight through the emotions, fuel my body the right way & ignore wanting to eat (or not eat) for comfort.

I'm not here to make you look aesthetic, there are a shit ton of "IG stars" who can do that for you, I am here to make sure you are healthy and capable of performing to your body's potential. If you work hard in your workouts and through your nutrition and a nice body comes from that, well, that's just a bonus...

Plus, I think it's badass to see someone who doesn't look like they could defend himself/herself just annihilate a bigger bully. I can imagine someone not knowing who GGG is and just picking the wrong day to be an asshole!

I have demoed this exercise recently with little to no weight. I now want to share this organic video straight from my actual morning workout today. I want to show you ladies that progressively increasing the load you are moving each week is CRUCIAL! This is why my glutes are as strong and developed as they are 💪🏻. Don’t become complacent! ADD MORE WEIGHT! Do not let the numbers on a bb, db or machine intimidate you. Trust me, 45lb plates scared me a little 😂🙈.Pick it up and move it ladies! 🙌🏼
• SS. Bodyweight Glute Angled Lifts
I wanted to quit 🤧 once my feet hit the floor but I pushed myself to still work within the crazy glute pump 🍑. Do as many reps as you can before wanting to scream 🤪👍🏻. I should have got off the bench and grabbed my resistance band but yah girl was 🤮💀.
• Sitting Banded Abductions
Using the cloth band from @thexbands (discount code:BRITTANY10). The cloth band is super challenging! It doesn’t allow for a super wide ROM but I find it better for you ladies because you are able to keep from falling to the outside of your feet when abducting (no ankle rolling 👎🏻). Push your knees out (abduct) as hard as you can to contract your medius muscle!
• Banded Step/Risers Staggered Stance Hip Thrust
Shown recently but will continue to do so because this is fab for those who find it hard to balance on one leg! I even did this exercise while 9 month pregnant 😳💪🏻 (modified of course). I decided to try 6 Risers instead of 5 today because of my platform shoes. I likeyy 👌🏻

Find a sport/activity that takes you beyond the weight room. Lifting is awesome but it can become monotonous, playing a sport is fun and can keep you engaged in staying active. Something simple like this for 30 minutes helped me burn around 200 calories, times that by seven days and that's 1400 additional calories I have burned in a week. People, it is not magic, just consistency! Make it hard but make it fun!

When people say "my heart is full" I know what they mean. This week has filled my heart beyond what I could describe in words. From celebrating my mom's birthday when we could have easily been mourning her, to watching one of my best friends perform in his craft, to seeing another one of my best friends' work be recognized and honored, to celebrating another 2 great friends' birthdays, to top it off witnessing one of my best clients give a powerful talk in front 20,000 people on the devastating effects of malaria in his home country. It literally brought me to tears when I thought about it. To know, and be surrounded by, such great and inspiring people truly fills my heart. It drives me to do more and be more. Thank you all for giving me one of the best weeks ever!

I am holding onto the door so I can sit back as far as I can shifting majority of my weight into my heels. Notice I do not fall to the outside of my feet when I abduct. You’re knees should be abducting, not your feet ✍🏼👌🏻.

I always prefer a step and risers over a bench. Most gym benches are inappropriately high for a solid thrust.

You have to cut your hair a certain way, shave your face a certain way, dress a certain way, talk a certain way and read a script in order to be accepted into the "tribe." You follow a mantra that you don't agree with but the bills need to be paid so you sacrifice a bit of yourself to fit in and eventually you turn into someone who you never wanted to turn into. You get used to the fakeness of others, so much so that when someone is slightly real it feels like a breath of fresh air.

My two options were: Get another job and find myself in the same position or take a leap of faith and build something of my own. I did the latter and never looked back. I love getting these kind of texts. My good friend @alishamarie_hair came to me for help on her nutrition. I broke things down as best as possible but it was up to her to apply that knowledge. I came to my "nutritional epiphany" 6 years ago after reading the books "The Warrior Diet" and "Engineering The Alpha". Ever since then it has been a journey of trial and error. More and more research has been put out showing support in an intermittent fasting and a ketogenic diet. It has been shown to be the most effective way for not only weight loss and weight maintenance but for overall physical and mental health, and longevity. Have someone sit on the couch and an hour goes by in a second. Have someone do a plank and a minute feels like an hour. ---------------------------------

Imagine the drunk guy at the bar talking the most shit, now imagine him doing it for 3 - 6 months, now tell me how you feel. Khabib has never done this before. I've seen other fighters do worse. HOW TO GROW YOUR ARMS 101
Progressive Overload: People always forget to apply this principle when it comes to arm training because influencers always preach about tempo, when adding weight is the key to growth✌️
Triceps: Don’t neglect your triceps they make up 2/3 of your arm especially the long head so always include at least one overhead movement😅
Frequency & Volume: Train your arms around 2-3 times a week,  2-3 exercises for your biceps and 3-4 for triceps as long as you have a few days in between sessions you will be good on recovery🤘

This time last year I would never have thought I would be posting pictures of me half naked on the internet because I was so self conscious of my body and was scared about what others would think🤦‍♂️

-Someone to hold you accountable for not training hard enough or skipping sessions (especially leg day)😅
-Friendly competition and pushing each other can help with motivation and progressive overload🤘
-Stops training from getting stale, listening to music every session gets boring af you can only listen to so many wobs🎧
