Another piece from the spring. This past spring was a journey for me involving honeycomb structures, something I’ve been exploring both in my clay and glass practice for years, and something I always return to. One of my missions (still unfulfilled) has been a perfect pull of honeycomb murrine. This piece was one of my first in which I tried it, using only the fractured murrine from my first pull. .

Good fun night of bowling tonight for sure. Had a couple of rough breaks but still did decent (averaged 210). .
For those that don’t know, I picked bowling back up last year. It’s been a big passion of mine since I was a child. Grew up around a bowling alley and all that good stuff. Had a few chances to go bowl in college but I turned them down (that’s a whole diff story lol). But since high school I’ve been on and off. Did a couple of competitive leagues, did one regional PBA tournament, and did fairly well in them. My goal is to do another regional tournament and hopefully place better than top 20. Would be nice to be on TV someday, but one step at a time. .
Looking for some delicious recipe inspo this weekend? Look no further! Recently, the Buddha Bowl has made a massive comeback and is basically a bowl which is packed so full that it has a rounded ‘belly’ appearance on the top much like the belly of a buddha.
These bowls are so easy to put together, requiring just 30 minutes and are ridiculously healthy – loaded with four kinds of vegetables, fibre and protein-rich chickpeas, and a maple-tahini sauce that’s so good you’ll want to put it on everything.
It all starts by roasting your vegetables in the oven using a little olive, coconut or grape seed oil. These may include red onions, sliced in wedges, 2 large sweet potatoes, halved, 1 bundle (227 g) broccolini, large stems removed, chopped, 2 big handfuls kale, larger stems removed.
While they’re baking away, prepare your chickpeas by draining and rinsing well, patting dry and rubbing in 1 tsp cumin, 3/4 tsp chili powder, 3/4 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp each salt + pepper and simply sauté to crispy perfection.
Then whisk up your 3-ingredient tahini sauce consisting of 1/4 cup (56 g), 1 Tbsp maple syrup, 1/2 lemon, juiced and 2-4 Tbsp hot water to thin.
All that’s left to do is put it all together and take your taste buds to flavor town 😋
Avete presente la crema marrone della “cheesecake” di ieri? Ecco, mi è piaciuta e ho voluto replicarla. Mi sembrava di mangiare gelato al cioccolato (visto che l’avevo messa in freezer un’ora prima di mangiarla) con la differenza che questa non ha zuccheri aggiunti e ha solo i grassi del cacao amaro. Come già dicevo, c’è un po’ di tutto dentro: frutta, verdura, yogurt, avena, cacao amaro e chi più ne ha più ne metta. 😄 In questo periodo adoro mangiare cose ghiacciate e, per fortuna, mi sono arrivate delle formine per fare i ghiaccioli. Ieri, per esempio, ne ho mangiati 5, ma solo perché fatti da me erano praticamente a 0 kcal. Sperimenterò anche quelli con lo yogurt. Adesso vi auguro una buona giornata e vado. Ciao. 👋🏻

I say that seeing a otter taking a bath must be like one of the most beautiful things in nature, they are so cute and funny, so I wanted to make so much cuteness into something delicious. This was one of he boru bowls. The Gojuchang lamb belly. Fatty lamb belly, pea purée, roasted mugicha barley and garlic scapes. So delicious, I loved it. The lamb was cooked and flavored just right, the barley was so tasty and easy to eat. A+ for this bowl. @boruborunyc
