The individuals in this photo represent an elite group called “Tru Momentum” . About 2 years ago Karsten and I noticed something evolving right before our eyes. Thursday and Sunday workouts were growing. Our small group of 4 grew to over 30 plus athletes and we all continued to improve our craft. This group encompassing the same grit, drive, and commitment to help others that we possess. Together we are committed to changing the world one obstacle at a time. Now we have a facility to call home (Ninja Nation), the momentum must continue. The Tru M family is constantly growing and we welcome new members with open arms. @trumomentum .

My gym’s brand new bouldering mats, super soft and springy before they immediately got scuffed up, and my poor Totoro, whom I’ve left behind way too many times including one time overnight
Had a great climbing trip this past weekend in southwest VA with a solid crew. Big shoutout to @parlieraj for putting in so much work into developing a new bouldering area with some amazing sandstone and so much potential!! 2nd photo is @gajdaphotography putting down a slabby new FA. 6th photo is @dizzyfilms_ putting down another FA on a boulder he spent half the day cleaning. #bouldering#sandstoneboulders#FAs4days#thefang#bouldering_pictures_of_instagram#climbing @center45climbing

We know what you’re thinking. Who are these people and why do they look so dang good? We are Climbers of Color. And we woke up like this. This = accepting of new friends and family, willing to learn, and empowering people of color to be their best selves. .
We’re headed to @colorthecrag this weekend. Color the Crag is a climbing festival created to empower people of color to participate in the outdoors through community, education, and representation. If you’d like to join us, we have free tickets! Message us for details.
Birthday shoutout to my boy @naytonrosales today. Ever since that winter we met up in Bishop 2015, he’s had my back/spot. One of the most hard-working dudes in the game in anything he does. That’s why he can smash on bags of jalapeño chips, boxes of donuts, etc. and STILL send your project - all while taking beautiful, uniquely crafted photos of you struggling on it; if he’s not already spotting you with his chiseled, manly bod (that’s probably 2% body fat). Happy Dirty 30! Time to crush it up in The Valley. #bombaboys
339. Grateful for a day filled with climbing, vegan pizza and awesome people.
This day started with me buying my own harness (I’m sure a lot of my friends will be happy about that) and then proceeded with me doing my first proper trad climbs. I thought trad was so weird but I think after today I’m hooked, learning how to finger jam and fist jam, twist my foot into weird places and hoping that it holds is actually so much fun ... who’d have thought?
I’m grateful for getting cardio in (since the approach was all up hill) and for the low point that my afternoon has become. The universe sent me a hurdle but I know I can get through this.
Also this day was so freaking cool I think the universe thought I was having too much fun haha.
Getting some fun grip play today between sessions with my lady @thehealthierself ✊🏻 Taking that bouldering game to the next level @windsorrockgym 🧗🏻♂️ .
Give this grip gauntlet and plate bounces a try. Plate was a fat 45lb bumper plate. Gauntlet was rubber hex DB 10-40lb.
Feeling really good about my progress today. This is a V3, and I felt pretty smooth. Had someone film it so I can pay attention to my body movements. Working on slow, decisive moves and keeping my hips low whenever I can, driving with the legs. I hesitated at the top because I was searching for a final foot hold for a prettier finish, but in the end decided to just grab it 🤷🏼♂️ It’s a process! Onward and upward 🧗🏼♂️
