Blessed to be able to try out @boufesg newest Christmas high tea set. It is just so overwhelming with cuteness that we both can’t bare to eat it. The gingerbread man soaked in a chocolate tub is beyond adorable! Thanks for the treat D!

The last in the @boufesg series: the Daisy Cake! ($8) This was a soft lychee mousse with a layer of yuzu creameux, and a green tea sponge base. It’s also topped with almond crumble, lychee, cute sugar daisies, and rather bougie gold flakes.
Overall, this was quite lightly flavoured. Would have preferred a stronger yuzu taste (or thicker layer??) and also more textural contrast because this just tasted a bit just like a mouth of cream. This was really pretty though.
Continuing with the @boufesg series of mini cakes! This gorgeous mirror-glazed entremet is called the Milky Way. I love the details - you can even see the specks of white which are the “stars”.
Under the milk chocolate glaze is a light white chocolate yogurt mousse, with a strip of calamansi jelly and honey genoise (sponge cake), and the base is a chocolate sable (shortbread).
I quite enjoyed this because it was light tasting and the calamansi jelly added a punch of citrus so the mousse didn’t taste too boring. Overall, really aesthetically pleasing. A bit small for its price ($8.50) but I guess you eat it once with your eyes and then with your mouth 😝
@boufesg’s cheesecake is not bad! For one, it looks really cute with the yellow cheese-shaped chocolate on top of the fruits. (Haha, literally a cheese cake 🤣🧀)
The texture is on the middle spectrum of density - a substantial cheesy thickness but somehow still a bit light tasting, probably from the slight lemon flavouring inside. Even as a person who doesn’t like thicker cheesecakes, this was alright. Definitely felt that the crust could have done better though. It was a bit soft and I prefer a hard crunchy biscuit base for cheesecakes.
This cake was quite worth it though, since we got it during their 11.11 one for one sale!
[Boufe Boutique Cafe]🍴
Apart from the visually beautiful and delicious cake called Milky Way, everything else I had at Boufe cafe was a huge disappointment.
Had their Triple Breakfast which served up dry and non-chewable sausages, as well as their new Chashu Miso Paste pasta. The miso paste was almost bland and the runny onsen egg looked deceivingly yummy; which was a lie because it tasted weird and almost alcoholic. I tried to feedback to the staff that it didn't taste like how an onsen egg should taste like but was very quickly dismissed, that the alcoholic runny egg was meant to taste like odd. To be fair, we ordered an extra side of hash browns and those tasted pretty good. So if you're up for good hashbrowns and instagram-able cakes, then Boufe would be a place to check out.
Safe to say that I won't be returning to Boufe- and I personally don't think that I have a picky palate. Even their Milky Way can't redeem Boufe for the poor service and distasteful dish.
Galaxy Cake from Boufe Boutique Cafe @boufesg Milky Way isn’t too out of reached afterall. Of white chocolate yogurt mousse, honey genoise, chocolate sable and calamansi jelly graced off with a marbled glazed.

Gateau burger ($8.50) ⭐️ 4/5 ⭐️
The rock ($8.50) ⭐️ 3.5/5 ⭐️
🍴Have always seem these instagrammable cakes & heard of this quaint tranquil cafe but haven’t had the chance to visit so we jumped at the excuse to go with their national day promo of 1-1 cakes & snacks. Paid $5 each for the cakes that not only look good but taste good. Not sure if they’re worth the full-price but they’re definitely enjoyable. The cute #gateauburger gets plus points for uniqueness & innovation. It had a chocolate mousse ‘bun’ that went well with the mango jelly ‘cheese’, raspberry & mint ‘lettuce’. Sadly, the famed #milkyway was sold out so we went with the rock which is mainly chocolate. It reminded us of an atas snickers bar with the mix of rich chocolate mousse, coffee & salted caramel. It’s good for chocolate lovers but a bit on the sweet side
