Ayurvedic medicine and nutrition is quite different than the approach we are used to. Is it for you?⠀
Ayurveda is considered to be the oldest healing science, originating in India over 5,000 years ago. In Sanskrit, Ayurveda means Science of Life: “Ayu” means life and“Veda” is knowledge or science. Ayurveda places great emphasis on prevention and encourages the maintenance of health through close attention to restoring balance in one’s life, thinking, diet & lifestyle. 🍽⠀
Knowledge of Ayurveda enables you to understand how to live in accordance with your unique constitution (dosha) and to follow nature’s cycles in order to restore balance and achieve optimal health. In Ayurvedic nutrition, the first and most important step is determining your individual constitution and the root causes of imbalance that manifest in disease symptoms. 🍽⠀
Ayurveda says that our body’s natural state is one of balance and health. Most of us have shifted away from this state because we oftentimes miss the signals of distress. Ayurveda believes that by creating an optimal environment that supports our body’s natural healing process, we can help restore its internal balance.⠀

Mama Maria ♥️
Mamma Maria holds such a special place in my heart! I had the pleasure of going with a truly remarkable individual. This post is a bit more personal but if you’re interest as to why I even started this page... keep on reading!
If not just skip the bottom half and GO MAKE A RESERVATION TO Mamma Maria NOW! 100% a trip worth making if you’re in the city.
Mamma Maria is an Italian restaurant in Boston. It’s really a dream this place! I was fortunate enough to make reservations for Valentines Day a few years back and it was everything I expected and more. It is such a romantic restaurant and lovely ambience. The food and service was absolutely delightful! Pictured is yours truly and some yummy veal and wild mushroom tortelloni. Not pictured was the conchiglie past with escargot, angel hair pasta topped with cavier, veal risotto, chocolate cake, and my favorite raspberry panna cotta. To this day panna cotta brings me such happy memories, particularly back to this day. The reason I even started this page in the first place was show some of my favorite spots and just good places to get some bomb food. Each and every one of these places holds such a fun memory and I think food does the same. The fact that I can have a bite of panna cotta and feel the way I felt a few years back is beyond remarkable to me. It’s food foo... simple as that, food. It can take us back to some of our most treasured memories and to me... that is truly special. •

Beet and burrata salad with pepitas and golden raisins. Not a bad thing. Paired nice with a couple killer French reds.
Got a babysitter for tonight but found 3 high chairs in the basement. Impressive for such a tight space!
