Its going to be such a beautiful day and I can’t wait to meet their new baby girl Avery!! It's official! Engagement season has begun! And I’m so excited for all the happy couples who will soon be engaged!
Did you know that most proposals happen between Thanksgiving and Valentine's Day? The cynics may say this is a result of advertising or something humans do to distract each other from the bitterness of winter. But I like to think is has something to do with the fact that this festive time of year is all about family, reflection, and love!
Plus hello, logistically it just makes sense! If you want your family involved in the proposal or at least be able to share the happy news with them face to face you will have to wait for a time when you are all together. The holidays are a good time for that! And, most weddings take place in the summer and fall, so if you get engaged in the winter you will have adequate time to plan.
Regardless of when you get engaged, I hope it is a magical moment that your hearts never forget! Oh, and call me because I want to hear all about it, take your wedding photos, and become lifelong friends!
PS. So excited for these two who will say I do this coming spring!
Heading back to Boston today after the best week at home. Took a little break from Instagram, emails, and all things business to spend quality time with my family ❤️ Feeling refreshed and recharged heading into my last 2 weddings of 2018 this week!! ✨
I have my last portrait session of the year today and I can’t help but think back over all the shoots I’ve had in 2018 and just how lucky I am that this is my job! Feeling beyond grateful this morning to all of you who have trusted me to document your loved ones for the first time or for the second or third time - you all rock! #lovemyLDPfam
I hope everyone has a nice beginning of the week! This engagement session will always stay in my heart. I got to meet such an amazing horse Capture and I decided to learn horse back riding :) I have never been so close to the horse and I even got a chance to feed her 💓 #lovehorses#sneakpeek
What a perfect way to end my 2018 engagement season. I’ve known Karlei and Darren for a while. Karlei was the MOH at a wedding a few years ago and I just photographed Darren’s brothers wedding a few weeks ago. Nothing makes me happier than sticking with a family or group of friends to capture these important moments in their lives. Especially when they’re all gorgeous and so much fun!
Serena and Brian had a wonderful fall engagement session in Boston along the esplanade and around Beacon Hill. Don’t be jealous of how cute they are together, be jealous that they’ll be enjoying a warm southern winter this year!
Ali & Joe’s @arnold_arboretum engagement session fell on the most perfect day in October. We spent the evening enjoying the quiet beauty of nature that is right in the city. Between the changing leaves and the golden sun, I could have photographed these two in every corner of the garden!
I love engagement sessions for so many reasons. It’s not only the perfect opportunity for the couple and their photographer to get to know each other better but it’s a wonderful way to hear how wedding planning is going as well. I can’t wait to celebrate with these two next October at their @willowdaletoday wedding! I know their big day will be just as magical as their engagement session.
A very Boston engagement session is on the blog!! Abbie and Joe became engaged in nearly this exact spot so it was incredibly fun to relive that moment with them as the sun appeared above the city to start the day. I don’t think these two could stop smiling!! #deborahzoephotography#deborahzoecouples
