strutting off to P A R I S for the @givenchybeauty global launch liiiiiiike. Sometimes life extends you a invite you just cannot refuse. so I’m up at 7 with a hangover packing for a fabulous 24 hours in the city of light. Here's why I love traveling alone and getting to choose when I do what without having to accommodate a different opinion (selfish as that may sound)- I get to spend a peaceful 2 hours with the sun until it puts up a spectacular show over the Fairytale Canyons and sets over Kyrgyzstan's Lake Issyk Kul, aka the second largest alpine lake in the world after the Caspian Sea (which FYI, isn't actually a Sea!)
I went here the previous day at noon, much against my wishes, when the sun was way too bright and unfriendly. A girl I was spending the day with didn't want to do this on the way back at sunset, and I can be quite a pushover around people. I'll do what they want, even though I don't really want to. I don't actively feel stressed over it, but much later, I'll sit back and wonder why I agreed. I've figured it's because I avoid confrontation when I know for a fact that I'll be able to do something my way eventually without encouraging conflict.
Like with these canyons. I knew I had the luxury of time, and I was so drawn to the energy of the place that I just went back the next evening.
The sun was in the mood for companionship and so was I. And we had a heady date together, in comfortable silence.
I've always always had the best internal experiences at that hour. Time of day matters to me so much when I'm exploring a new place. Maybe a bit too much. Does that ever happen to you?
PS: Take my word for it and get here for sunset if you're ever in Kyrgyzstan. The magic is real ✨
🔊 Please swipe to the left to see all 10 pictures! The Cadet Chapel is both the most recognizable building at the United States Air Force and the most visited man-made tourist attraction in Colorado. It is considered among the most beautiful examples of modern American academic architecture. ----------------------------------------------------
Admiring the Seine River in Paris, watching the boats buzz by and the tourists strolling along the bridge; taking the fabulous Parisian culture in. I’m going to let you in on a little secret 🤫I wish I was a French girl! I’m a quarter by blood 🇫🇷 but there’s something about the culture that I crave. Maybe it’s the leisurely cafe visits where you start your day by sipping on a tiny espresso and eating freshly baked pain au chocolat, spending time with friends with no rush or worry about what you need to do next. Maybe it’s the beautiful language and the historical innate buildings and structures that are everywhere you look. It is truly a romantic ❤️ culture that captives you and fills you with that good feeling!
Home is where you feel the most free.
The safest, pride and part of something. Like you belong. Home is where you decide, it’s not up to anyone else. #travelingfroisms
It’s funny because I feel like I have several homes. There is no one place that I call home without feeling like the other part isn’t reflected. I am lucky to be able to have so many homes, and frequent them as much as I do. Being back in North Carolina this past month was just what I needed. Being in the very place that made me, rooted me and gives me most of the answers to who I am today.
One foot in one home, and the other in the next. Because I’ve created a life of travel and digital entrepreneurship, I’m able to call the world my home. I get some many questions on how I was able to do it..
Well lucky you, sign up for my free webinar link in stories and bio to talk more and learn how turning your passion into a business can allow you to call the world your home too.

sooo, speaking of beautiful foreign beaches... who has been to Rio de Janeiro? I am looking to go there but am getting nervous reading about safety issues! is it okay to visit and walk around in, assuming all valuables are left in the accommodation? is public transportation safe? #riodejaniero
That one time I forget sunscreen I awkwardly end up blending in with the landscape around me. ☄️💛
The colours of Kalbarri are unreal beautiful though. Suits the landscape but not ma skin. 🌱
Adios old counter & stove! Now to figure the backsplash and new color scheme.
How long will we take to finish? 🤣question of the month. <<<
Are you quick remodelers, make a choice and just do it! Or do you take a long time to make a decision, mulling over the bajillion options before making a decision 🙋🏻♀️and then questioning your choice and then change your mind again 😂
I look up to children in so many ways. They inspire me and I hope to inspire them. That is something I hold very true to my own heart. I am not here to impress anyone. I just want to set positive examples for our future.
