Bingo Day 12+ Kabir 1/2 birthday
prompt - pink ( perfect!)
I have turned 6 months today... Why am I wearing a pink frock and bow you ask? Because this mother of mine is collecting embarrassing pictures of me to get me to do stuff in future. Well played mother. Well played.
Anywho since my mother is lazy and won't make a baby book and use Instagram as one let me tell you a bit about myself
Today is my half birthday, I have only been given breastmilk so far. In a week I get real food. I drool like a maniac when mother is eating. That woman won't give me a bite!
I scream a lot and am quite ticklish. I find some suprising strange sounds really funny like ab doob doob or taaah ( I can't stop laughing even when I think of them)
Now I can sit without support, life is good from this new angle.
I love air-conditioned rooms and standing in front of refrigerator, I have a special Ahhh sound to express this pleasure.
Everyday morning ma and baba ask me why I didn't sleep the previous night, someone ought to tell them you snooze you lose, get over it. I will sleep when I want to.
In other news I presently hate massage love baths and when ma reads to me
I think I am constantly manipulated with music, my current favorite Playlist is-
.Aaj se teri from Padman
.Chandelier by sia
.Bengali lullaby by Bombay Jayshree(most Fav)
.Sooha Saha Highway .Green eyes Coldplay .
OK gotta go, have to pretend to be interested in some silly twinkle twinkle nonsense.
PS- The amazing chocolate orange cake is from @once.upon.a.slice. Chef Sen makes the bestest home cakes!. ..
I think this brings special memories to every teen, simply love this song #zarazara#RTDM#BombayJayshree#music#cover#song @vickydas141 @mousumisingha @talented_musicians @amazner @risingsingers_ @talent_of_india @singer_home @indianmelodioussingers @indian_idol_9 @_talentvilla @indias__talent #indias_talent
Women as performers worldwide have always played an instrumental role in the cultural dissemination as well as building the character of the society they inhabit.
Since the past two centuries, changes in the identity of women as agents of change are coming up to negotiate their own choices, their own instincts, talents, and destiny.
Women as broad entities in terms of Indian Arts and music implies the possibility of an expression unfiltered through a constricting discourse like patriarchy. It offers them the freedom of an experiential rather than a precedent art.
Showcasing resplendent costumes, dazzling jewelry, quaint adornments and traditional practices, the art forms sew a new narrative of women as enactors, as performers and as the creators of their own journey.
Some of the most prominent women patron/revivalists of arts are #SumitraCharatRam , #PupulJayakar , #KamalaDeviChattopadhyay . .
Legendary Indian woman artists are #AmritaShergill , #AnjolieElaMenon (Painters). .
#RukminiDeviArundale , #Balasaraswati , #MrinaliniSarabhai , #YaminiKrishnamurthy , #SonalMansingh @aditimangaldas , #SaswatiSen (Classical Dance). .
#GirijaDevi , @latamangeshkar , @asha_bhosle , #KishoriAmonkar , #BombayJayshree , #AshwiniBhide , #KaushikiChakraborty (Classical Music and Vocals).
On International Women’s day, @indiaheritagedesk applauds and honors each and every doyen & Maestro of Indian tradition who has not just proved herself but also showed the whole world the mantle of Indian performing Arts.

Humming the song, as I looked at this carved #ganesha in the natural cave between the man made caves at #badami this palm sized beauty just made me wonder how could they put in so much detail in such a small carving (the hand next to it is for the size) - some skill!
The history of the original #vatapiganapati being taken by the pallavas as a #warbooty from the chalukyas, from Badami to Thiruvarur - interesting, compelling.. will make for a good read.

Do listen to the different versions of the song - soothing and nice. I once heard #bombayjayshree start her concert with it and the Indian classical music illiterate that I am, it has stuck in my grey matter so strong that it just refuses to budge.
Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein (2001)
Starring Madhavan, Saif Ali Khan & Dia Mirza.
This film is another one of those gems that went unnoticed by many. The story was simple but the characters showed some depth time and time again. It revolves around two rivals in school and later in their personal lives; with a young girl who is torn between an obsessive lover and a considerate lover. It’s well acted, especially by Madahavan who looked comfortable and natural in front of the camera. It has a couple of good songs, one of them is this legendary and timeless "Zara Zara" by Harris Jayaraj. This is the song which brought the movie in limelight upon its release.
