Let’s face it, if you want to perform at your best in #athletics#sports#bodybuilding#martialarts you need high octane fuel, fuel that not only speeds recovery and builds your body but also enhances brain function and mental performance.
This is where most #bodybuilders#strongmen#martialartists trip up. They eat lots of stuff to build their body but inevitably there diet decreases their brain and mental performance.
On the flip side I know people who get great improvements in mental focus with #ketogenic#diet but their physical performance declines.
Athletic and Physical Performance has a few components:
1. Neurological Efficiency - which mediated by your neurochemistry. You can profoundly improve your neurochemistry by changing WHAT you put in your body and WHEN. Timing is key. Diet can also change your neurological efficiency to change you can recruit and activate neural networks and therefore the acceleration, velocity and thus power you can generate.
2. Muscle-Skeletal Size - more size equals greater power.
Two ways to increase your power: Increase your mass and increase your acceleration.
3. Metabolic Capacity
