The @tropenmuseum is showing an exhibition on the “Things that Matter”. It sparks discussion on cultural identity, particularly subjects surrounding migration and origin. How do we feel home? What does language mean to us? Why do we dress the way we dress? Is this turban I’m wearing a tribute or is it cultural appropriation? So interesting for all of us who are living in-between. In between countries, in between languages, in between traditions. By the way, there’s a new cultural agenda up and running on the blog, covering When What Where stuff is happening in the last days of July. Link in bio contains all the good stuff.
Everybody who knows me knows that I am everywhere with my backpack because I think it’s just easy to throw many things in it. Especially when I am carrying my camera! I was so happy when @cabinzero reached out to me.

Miguel told me: “Pick a card”. I did, and in it I read “What do you consider to be the toughest season of your life?”. I took a brief look at the deck of cards: “A collection of cards for deeper discussions” it stated, invitingly. From the length of my captions you might have already realized that this is everything that I’m about. I took a deep breath in and I answered the question in front of 4 people I haven’t known for a long time. Check @socards and you’ll find my short story on mental health. @miguelthinks is the creator of @so cards, a genius idea to spark the meaningful conversations we’ve all been craving. Do you want a SO deck of cards? Simple. Head to Kickstarter, support the project. Let’s go.
Day 2. Dresden is pretty!🇩🇪We enjoyed strolling down the Elbe and exploring Dresden Altstadt. The Academy of Fine Arts happened to have an exposition of recent graduates, which was cool!😎 We’re gonna enjoy the sunset here tonight, and then tomorrow the journey continues... #interrailing#dresden#germany#visitdresden
Yesterday evening, heading to the best side, which still is the NDSM. Despite being tired from a whole day of yoga emotions I still managed to take myself out to dance. And it was so worthy. Music was an awesome mix of hot tropical funky rhythms with @conjuntopapaupa, and Dj Socrates on the deck. I made a new friend and finally caught up with old ones I hadn’t seen in ages (haven’t been going out much since I’d started the teacher training). Hey Pllek, I’m loving your summer sessions! // May our @ndsm remain the free haven that it is ❤️ #ndsmwerf
