Hello #Instafam , how is your Sunday going? I read somewhere that today is #NationalMudMaskDay . So, while, I may not do a mud mask post, I decided to try a homemade mask. I have been reading a lot about #peachfuzz and how one can get rid of facial hair permanently. So, I came across this video and decided to try it out at home. Now, like, I have always maintained, I am not a chemical-infused persona and take things lightly. So, nothing beats home remedies Before, I get into details, here’s a DISCLAIMER: Please note that every skin type is different and what results I get may not be the same as you would.
You will need:
1. 1 tbsp unflavoured gelatine
2. 2 tbsp raw and unboiled milk
3. 1 quarter tbsp honey
4. A pinch of turmeric
1. Clean your face. Either wash it or tab it with warm napkin so that your pores open up.
2. Mix all ingredients to make a smooth paste. Do not waste any time in application as the mask will start to thicken. Apply it with a brush
3. Leave it to dry for 30 minutes
4. After 30 minutes, start peeling off from DOWNWARD direction. Please note this process is going to be a bit painful and irritate you. Be patient and do it as gently as possible.
5. Rub ice cubes all over the face.
6. Apply your preferred moisturizer
For best results, you can repeat twice a month. DM if you would like to know anything more.
In a place where visiting a salon is luxury, home remedies are the way to go. Have a great Sunday! ************************************
Hello there....wanted to pist this for the longest time now. .
So, what do you guys think about 'a perfect shampoo'? Does this concept even exist? Well, for many it might. I would easily be an exception to the rule.I don't know how much to believe in the fact that one need to keep experimenting and keep changing the brand. If you think a particular brand suits you, STICK TO IT!. .
Well, I have had hair fall issues for eons now. It kind of aggravated post pregnancy. Also, I regularly color my hair. So, it was tough for me to kind of bail down on one. Recently, I came across #tressemé#colourrevitalise shampoo and conditioner and boy, it's been my all time favorite. Yes, I still have hair fall issues but my hair has not lost it's volume and become smooth. So, for now, this is definitely my go-to brand. .No, I clearly don't infuse more chemicals to nourish my hair than I already do. Stick to the basics has always been my 'mantra'
Feel free to recommend your go-to brand...Adios and have a fabulous weekend ahead.
Hello #instafam . How is the weekend going? Well, in my part of the world (south Sweden), things are really heating up, courtesy the heat wave travelling our way. Never thought we would touch 28 degrees C. So, you can imagine the brunt we have to face, starting with the face. There’s sweat, dirt and all the package it comes with.
I recently made a conscious decision of NOT using soap for my face during bath time. Well, many of you must have raised eyebrows by now and some of you have already made the move eons back. Well, for me, sooner than later, let’s just rest that way.
Talking about face wash, I am not an indulger of multiple cosmetics for the skin, especially the face. I stick to my daily face wash routine, say 3-4 times a day and that’s about it.
No additional cleansing agents for me like a toner, cleansing milk, etc. So, if it is only face wash, I must make some right choices here and the best way to go about is selecting organic, natural products over heavy chemical infused.
Out of the many face washes I picked up from India (I have a stock that can last for a year), the first on the list is VLCC Mandarin and Tomato Natural Fairness Face wash. Now, no judgements here. Now, do not judge me on the fairness bit. I don’t promote fairness products, Period. This post is STRICTLY to talk about the goodness of the two key ingredients – mandarin oil and tomato that makes the skin feel good and relaxed. It helps you remove dirt from the skin with barely few drops.
After all, it’s all about feeling good. ************************************ #feelgood#skincare#facewash#VLCC#mandarinandtomato#natural#organic#ingredients#beauty#lifestyle#beautyproducts#organicproducts#gonatural#SayNo#to#fairness#products#personalblog#blogger#insta_skincare#insta_beauty#stayhealthy#blemishesandmore#beyondblemishes#ibsta_account#sm#for#collabs
Hey all, I hope you are having a fantastic summer. For me, I am busy doing what I do best…..Shopping. Some last-minute essentials (how convenient, right) before we take off to our week long vacay. Stay tuned to this space for more updates on that.
Meanwhile, I am here to talk about my favourite subject. Perfumes! Who doesn’t like wearing one, right For me, I am obsessed with them. While in India, I used to splurge more on the deodorants for obvious reasons. For the longest time, I have used men’s deodorants as they genuinely smelled better than women’s. Infect, I used to share perfumes with my husband. After moving to Sweden, where, of course you do not tend to sweat much, deodorants are history.
So, what attracts me to one? Bottling? Packaging? Fragrance? I think a combination of all. Infect, there have been times when I used to have attractive bottles for keepsake for months or even years. Not any more, fyi. For I am a spontaneous indulger, I necessary do not run after specific brands. Also, I do not spend on luxury brands, maybe some day I will. For me, if you look good, smell good, you go home with me, honey. I enjoy gifting perfumes and being gifted too. The ISSEY MIYAKE, Elizabeth Ardens, Paco Rabanne will always be my forever love.
Here’s a sneak peak into my ongoing collection:- What is your favourite brand? Drop in a line or two below. Feedback, comments, I am open to all.

Hello, #Instafam , welcome to Blemishes & more. Now, I have been contemplating to start a personal insta blog for the longest time. Well, procrastination should have been my middle name. Anyways, better late than never. So, here I am, all charged up on an exciting Monday with my #mondaymotivation
Now, why Blemishesandmore? Simple because one needs to move beyond the flaws; be it your appearance; be it your attitude and so on. With Blemish, I am going to open up more on the things that make me happy, make my day, motivate me and help me grow. No, this is not a motivational blog or the likes but more on the personal side. Simply put, I will be talking about the products I swear by to the brands I chose to cling on and basically everything that constitutes my personality and beyond. I usually have never self-glorified till date; but hey, what the heck..there’s always a first time.
Sp, without much ado, lets begin this journey together and lets see where ti takes us…. .
P.S. Loud and clear. THIS IS NOT A PAID PLATFORM. THE BRANDS I AM NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE BRANDS IN ANY FORM (to date). Love and light,
